Chapter 5

Memory of Fear

Roxas = 73 days Premax = 66 days

I sat in my room, just staring the necklace I had found with me on my first day here. I sighed placing it around my neck, before I got up and left the room. I wasn't ready for missions yet, since I could barely even call my weapon, so I pretty much just explored the castle in my free time, which was every day, all day except for when Vexen wanted to test my abilities, or just yell at me until I finally snapped and threw him across the room with dark energy; something I hadn't known I had until my 10th day here. I stopped when someone appeared in front of me and I looked to see Xion." Oh...hello, Xion" I greeted and she smiled managing to say." Hello....Premax"

" I see your still having trouble" I said and she looked down with a frown, her face hidden.

" Don't worry, you'll get it" I smiled and she nodded before we started down the hallway but we both stopped when we saw Larxene. I looked over at Xion and she smiled nodding, knowing what I had planned. We hid behind a corner, as I raised my hand creating a small blob of metal which I made float over to her before I let it fall, but before it hit her, it liquefied and turned to water. She screamed in rage looking for the culprit and we both quickly hid as she stormed passed yelling." Demyx, just wait until I get my hands on you."

As soon we were sure she was gone, we both started to laugh not caring if anyone who walked passed thought we were as crazy as Vexen. When we finally stopped laughing, Xion smiled and pulled her hood down to reveal a pair of deep blue eyes and short black hair, I don't know why but her face reminded me of someone, someone I once knew. Xion walked off and I started exploring again, but I didn't get very far before Vexen appeared and dragged me off to train.

Roxas = 74 Premax = 67

I had finally managed to summon my weapon, I was still having trouble, but the boss had cleared me for missions. Today, I was going on my first with Roxas and....um...I think his name is Axel, or something like that.

 I stood next to Saix, my eyes on the floor as we waited for Roxas and Axel. When they walked over, I said nothing as Saix explained our mission before I followed Axel and Roxas to Twilight Town, one of the many worlds we had to work with. Axel glanced over at me and Roxas before we went looking for the 4th member of our group, Xion. As we were searching, we noticed two kids talking about something in the sewers.

" Should we check it out?" I asked and Axel smirked." Glad at least one of you can form a whole sentence. Let's go check it out" Axel told me and we went to have a look, but didn't find anything that looked like Xion or a heartless.

A kid appeared and explained that the moaning the girl had heard was just a breezy vent. The other kid introduced himself as Pence." If you need anything, I'm always happy to help"

" Thank you, Pence" I smiled and he nodded before walking off.

Once he was gone, Axel smacked me upside the head before saying." Well, that was dead end"

I glared at him before we left the sewers and continued our search for Xion and the heartless. We ran into the two kids again and heard them talking about how Pence seemed to be hiding something from them. We went to their usual spot and discovered a map with a bunch of notes on it. We decided to ask Pence about it, and he told us that they were called 'The 7 wonders of Twilight town' and that they were all linked, except of course the stairs.

We figured that Xion went into the woods, so we went to check it out. Roxas hit the tree, that Pence told us about, and something fled toward the old mansion.  Following it, we were led to a huge iron gate where a huge heartless appeared. Roxas and Axel drew their weapons and charged at it, while I stayed where I was. I threw my hand out and a bunch of liquefied metal swirled around me and gathered around my hand, forming a giant metal fist.

I hit the ground with it and it sent out a shock wave, stunning the creature." Nicely done, Premax" Axel told me and I smiled before I started to repeatedly hit the thing , only to be thrown backwards by the creature's tongue. I winced landing on my side but my head shot up when I saw Xion running toward the thing.

" Xion" Roxas cried and she looked over, only to share the same fate as me." Concentrate, Roxas" Axel cried.

When the thing was defeated, we checked on Xion, who had been knocked for a loop before we followed after Axel, who took us to the clock tower, where we sat eating ice cream. Xion told us that she couldn't use the keyblade anymore, and I frowned when she asked." They're gonna turn me into a dusk, aren't they?" But Axel came up with the idea of Roxas and Xion working together from now on.

I sat quietly watching the sunset as they talked but I grabbed my head as a memory of a girl with red hair filled my mind." Premax, are you alright?" Roxas asked concerned and I nodded." brain freeze" I lied with a laugh before I looked back at the sunset.

" Your lying" Axel stated and I glared before turning back to the sunset." I've just been getting these weird feelings lately, like a part of me remembers times like this.... from that other life, but yet when I try to remember, the memories go away"

" Have you talked to Vexen about it?" Axel asked and I shook my head." He just says that it's nothing, and I shouldn't dwell on it, but I can't help get this feeling of fear around him."

" Fear?" Xion asked confused and I sighed.

" Like I shouldn't trust him, plus he creeps me out" I sighed and Axel smiled." Yeah well, he creeps everyone out"

" Yeah, I guess your right" I mumbled just before another memory surfaced, but just just before it faded I saw myself running down a beach next to a girl with short red hair and bright blue eyes, a grin on her face as we ran.
