Dearest and Bravest Readers,
I am going to take the time and let you all know something.
Suicide
It's scary, heartbreaking, deceitful, and something no one should ever consider.
They shouldn't feel the need to consider suicide and its heart-wrenching that so many people see it as an option.
Did you know:
90% of people who commit suicide every year are depressed?
38,000 deaths a year are by those who committed suicide.
Let's compare that to something else,
15,000 deaths a year are by those who commit homicide.
I'm not putting this at the beginning of my story in order to piss you off or upset you but I have seen too many teenagers in my school commit suicide this year, one of them was my classmate. Another was just last week, a girl in grade 10.
This has all happened in half a school year. It frightens me that so many people see suicide as the only option.
There are multiple other options rather than ending your life.If you or anyone you know is going through thoughts of suicide and is willing to seek help or is willing to open up to you or you to another person then I applaud you, it takes a lot for someone to admit these heart breaking thoughts and it takes a great deal of courage to seek treatment.
For those who aren't comfortable with admitting thoughts about suicide to someone in the open or someone they know, you can always reach the suicide hotline.
This is a free service open to those who seek comfort and need advising during these hard times in their life.
It's completely confidential.
For those all around the world, you can reach the suicide hotline through this website in order to seek hotlines in your country.
Please go to Suicide.org in order to seek the help so many of us wish for you to find.
I will be sharing the external link to this website.
I hope you battle through this and I hope you come out victorious.
Please don't sell yourself short.
There are people in this world who care a great deal about you.I love you and I believe in you. ❤️
Please note: at this time, my story does not include any thoughts or ideas of suicide but if it is mentioned then I will most likely remove this little side note or will put a disclaimer at the top of the chapter it's included in.
