I woke up because of some weird smell like a dead person or blood. Red ceilings. Red curtains. Red matress of the bed. This is not my room.

Where am I?

"I'm glad you're awake now." A manly voice from the door said.

That voice. I think I heard it somewhere.

I rested my back at the bed's headboard. "Where am I? Do I know you?"

He went to the mini kitchen of the room. It has a small table that is good for one person and a chair. He opened the little refrigerator that was there and took a bottle of wine, I guess, from it. "You are in our world." He said, grabbing a two wine glass. "I know you, and you don't know me YET." He emphasized the word yet. He opened the bottle and it splashed, then he smirked.

"What am I doing here?" I sighed. I want to go home. I need to see Sierra, she must be very worried about me right now. She doesn't want to be alone in the house. "I want to go home."

"You can't." He said, nonchalantly.

"Why?" I can't be here. "Please?" I begged. The tears stung in my eyes as my efforts were futile.

He went near me and wipe my tears with his thumb. I cringed with his action. "You don't belong in the human world, Serene."

And where do you think I belong? Here? I wanted to shout at him, but I know that it would do no good. "Why?" I asked, clenching my fist. What does he mean by I don't belong in the human world?

"You'll know soon."
