Levi curled up against me, my earbuds in with The Lumineers on way to loud, the house to just us, in the calmness of all this i could almost see myself actually running away with him. I could pretend that my parents wouldnt find out, that i didnt live just to please them, that there wasnt so many road blocks in our relationship. I breathed in deeply inhaling the scent of his cheap cologne mixed with the heavy, sweet scent that was all his own and pulled away from him. He rolled to fill the space i had been in still sleeping soundly.

I pushed my still damp hair from my face and pulled my suitcase off the top of my closet, pulling clothing down with no actual idea of what i was doing i began packing. Underwear, tops, bottoms, shoes, bathroom things. It took no more than 20 minutes to have anything i would need for a trip all packed and arranged into a small pile beside me. I sighed humming along to Angela and stood up. I heard his feet touch the carpet as he sat up. ' why the bags..' he asked voice small and timid, i shrugged and crossed the floor cupping his cheek. 'Are you alright?' i whispered trying to decipher truth from fiction in those green eyes of his. I knew he wasnt alright, i could see the dark swirling around inside of him, devouring him from the inside out, pulling his soul to pieces. I could see how lost he was he really was, see the pain he went through everyday. And for all my noticing i hadnt helped him. I felt lost, useless, and like i couldnt control this. He nodded his head vigorously letting a smile tug at his bow lips.

'Im fine, I promise.'

I could see the lies but let it go.
