When I opened my eyes I was in a white empty void of a place.  I was no longer cold, and I was not coughing anymore.  Was I dead?

“Alexis, you must fallow me, please, come with me, I shall take very good care of you.” A voice that I had never heard before called.

“Who are you?” I asked, “Am I dead?”

“No silly girl, you are very much alive.  Just follow me and I will answer all your questions, okay?” it sounded like a man’s voice, but it was very kind, almost like my sisters.

“I can’t very well follow you if I can’t see you, can I?” I asked with a tint of fear of what the answer would be.

“You’re right; let me show you what I look like then.” The voice said.  I felt something poke my left shoulder blade; I turned around to see what it was.  It was a man around the same age as me.

The man had the strangest appearance.  His hair was purplish-pink and he had cat ears with a tail that were the same color as his hair!  Personally though, I thought they were really cute.  He was wearing a black cutoff shirt that was tight to his skin, it really showed off his toned body.  Along with a pair of gray fitted jeans and white sneakers with black rubber bottoms.  His eyes were almost cat like, which only seemed fitting, they were a golden yellow.  This guy was gorgeous!

“What is your name?” funny question to ask at a time like this, wait, how did he know what my name was?

“Sebastian Cheshire, but most people just call me Chesh.”  He said while smiling and devilishly brilliant grin.

“At the risk of sounding redundant,” I mumbled under my breath,

“My name is Alexis Laclaire; it’s very nice to meet you…” I wasn’t sure what to call him, I wanted to address him by his first name; I liked that name a lot.  “Can I just call you Sebastian?”

“Sure, it’s been a long time since some ones actually used my first name.” He chuckled.

“Why am I here?” I asked, “Better yet, where is here?”

Sebastian looked at me like I was off my rocker, “You’re on the border.”

It was my turn to look at him like he was a nut case, “The border of where?” I was getting annoyed, I hated when people were too vague.

“Of Underland, if you chose to follow me you can go, if not you’ll go back home, just as you were before.”  His mood had changed drastically; he wasn’t the cheerful looking guy anymore, he had become very serious.  It scared me a bit.

I looked at him for a little while, “If I go… will I be able to return home?” I felt my voice tremble, along with the rest of my body.

He turned away from me, “That, is completely up to you.” His voice was stern and strong, it sent shivers up and down my spine.

“What did he mean, ‘that is completely up to you’ that doesn’t make any sense?  If it’s up to me, then I guess it would be okay?  I would be able to go home if I wanted to once I got there, right?  What am I saying, I sound so gullible; this all has to be a dream.  If this is all a dream then I can just wake up and everything will be fine.  This might be fun.”  I mulled over all the possibilities in my mind until I finally came to a conclusion.  “I want to go to Underland,” I said strongly.

“That’s exactly what I wanted to hear.” He mumbled to himself.
