The last test PART ONE

*One Week Later*

Zayn's POV

It's been a week since the SPS has had us train. We were all a bit put off by it. I frown at the cold gray floor worried,

"What's wrong Z"

Liam asks from next to me breaking me from my train it thought.

I look in his eyes that seem to be a everlasting sea of brown with an island of black in the middle.

"It's just a bit weird that we haven't trained in about a week,"

I reply.

"Yeah it's funny,"

He says.

All the sudden a high pitched shriek sting my ears signaling we are needed in the office. The office is the room we go to meet the doctor who made us like this, Dr.Brown.

Me and Liam both stand up and walk over to the office and I open the fairly large metal door. I walk into the medium sized white room that resembles a office room. I see Dr.Brown sitting on the farthest chair. Her jet black hair falls onto her shoulder and a smile has blossomed on her coffee colored face. Her dark eyes sparkle and she greets us as we sit down,

Soon Louis, Harry, and Niall walk in.

"Hey mom,"

Harry says.

We all chuckle at the weird nickname Harry gave her many years ago.

"Hello Harold,"

She says smiling and Harry blushes.

"I would like to give you guys some wonderful new, you are ready to move on from training to start protecting the city,"

"Oh shit are you serious?"

I ask excitedly.

"Yes Zayn completely, you guys will have one final test to see witch one of you will lead you guys and then you are done and you get to move on,"

Dr.Brown says.

"Wait so what's this about the last test?"

Liam asks and I can hear the concern in his voice.

"Well you guys will be put I a situation were you all will try to retrieve a golden necklace for a bunch of criminals, and yes in the test you guys will be enemies,"

"Oh,"

Louis say simply.

"Why do we have to be against each other, it makes no sense aren't we trying to work as a team?"

Niall asks with wide eyes.

"Well yes but in case one of you goes bad you need to learn to fend each other off,"

She says.

We all just sit in awkward silence.

They have led us to a weird dim lit black room. It's different from are usual training. Usually we go to the training building were they create an animated room to resemble a real situation. But this time they are hooking us up to strange machines because it supposed to make it seem more real.

After we are all strapped in the weird doctors that put us in here start talking.

"So in this simulation you will have all your senses, that includes pain, the only time when you don't feel pain is when you die, remember the object of this simulation is to get the golden necklace so good luck,"

The doctor says and I feel a needle enter my skin and everything fades to black.

I wake up strapped onto a cold hard metal table. I look up to see the other boys slowly stirring and theirs eyes opening. I look to see my hands strapped down too the table with metal chains.

CRACK

I hear as Liam easily rips his chains off and runs out of the room.

I try to think of ways I could break free then I remember that I can make the metal cold and brittle and break through. I feel myself summon cold as and I watch the metal slowly freeze over I quickly break free of the and look at the 4 remaining boys.

Niall has summoned some vines and is trying to use there branches to pick the locks.

Louis is making water shoot from his hands to make them slippery so he can slide out.

And poor Harry is just sitting their looking stumped.

I quickly run out of the room so I can catch up to Liam. I squint and try to get my eyes to adjust to the dim lighting as I keep running. I suck in a breath as I come across a man with a scorch mark all the way through his chest.

"Oh god Liam,"

I whisper as I back up.
