"Bea, can you drive pa ba?" Kianna, the birthday girl, framed my cheeks in her hands. She seemed to be assessing me if I have had too much drinks. "Uy, Bei?"
"Yes, babe. Kaya ko 'to."
"Sure?" She walked me to my car, sa parking lot ng isang karaoke hub in Pasig.
"Yeah, C-5 lang naman ako. Mabilis lang ang byahe." I leaned to kiss her cheek and hug her. She hugged back and murmured her appreciation that I came here for her birthday. "Don't mention it, Singkit. Ikaw pa ba?"
"Ikaw kasi eh. Sana teammates tayo ngayon."
"We're still friends naman." I pinched her cheek. "I'll go na. Hellish training na naman tomorrow morning."
"Okay. Ingat, Bei."
I entered my car, waved at her for the last time then drove off. Hindi pa man ako nakakalayo, my phone's screen lit up.
be home sober
Being on the phone while driving is always a no-no but that is not just the case whenever it's Jho who texts or calls.
She is so makulit and always demands na magreply agad ako (because if not, expect a call or two).
I knoooow po. Ok? I still wish you went with me zzz
I didn't need to put my phone back to the holder dahil as soon as I sent the message, she replied again. Sakto, the traffic light was on red.
Tapusin ko lang talaga reqs ko, beh tapos tayo naman. ok po?
I sighed. It's been two days since we last went out to somewhere. Sure, magkasama kami sa training, breakfast, minsan pati lunch, and of course dinner but she's been so busy with her term requirements na we've got limited time lang.
:(

Ay ok wag ka masyado magpagabi beh. Hintayin kita. Ingat ka. love u bea
All right, Jho. I'll see you later. love you too
