Another MVP numbers from the Phenom herself won it for Creamline.
Who can even stop Alyssa Valdez when she plays inspired volleyball?
Denden Lazaro
Of course, Denden. But unfortunately for the other teams, Denden plays in the other league.
Speaking of the libero, Alyssa caught her figure heading towards the exit just when the sideline reporter asked her to be interviewed.
This kind of disappointed Alyssa- every time Dennise watches her game, she leaves as soon as the match ends and will only meet Alyssa in the dugout.
Alyssa has always wanted her girlfriend to be the first one to congratulate her.
Nevertheless, she smiled in front of the camera as she thanked her supporters. Behind the bleachers were her loyal fans who were all extending their arms to her, hoping for a photo with the Phenom.
Alyssa would not mind a few snaps with her fans but not today- Dennise does not really like waiting. She just gave them a wave, muttered thank you and flashed them her brightest beam.
She followed the rest of the team to the dugout, her eyes roaming around for her girlfriend.
"Ly!" Without the need to turn around, Alyssa knew whose voice called her. She could close her eyes and fall asleep to that voice. "Congrats!"
Dennise grabbed her to the side of the hallway so she could tiptoe and kiss Alyssa's cheek.
"Thank you, Den!"
Alyssa tipped Den's baseball cap off her and leaned in for a quick peck on the top of her head.
"Does your shoulder hurt? That was a bad fall. Mag-ingat ka naman!" Dennise's forehead creased, the worry was evident Alyssa almost felt guilty. When she took her hand, the shorter girl relaxed.
"Hmmm. Ice lang katapat nito."
"Are you sure? Should we have it checked first?"
"It's okay, Den. I cannot wait to be with you already." Dennise smiled. "Saan ka nagpark?"
"I'll tell you later. I'm trying to lose the fans eh. They know where I parked." Dennise coupled a sigh with a grimaced. She was never a fan of this celebrity life, let alone fans going overboard their personal lives.
"Okay. Wait for me, okay?"
"I will. Now, go. I'll call you na lang."
Dressed casually, Alyssa met her girlfriend in the 2nd level parking reserved for the playing teams. She spotted Den's sedan immediately.
"Let's go?" Alyssa cooed. She knew Dennise had been looking forward to this evening dinner since last week.
"No, not yet." Dennise tapped on the steering wheel impatiently. She was squinting her eyes behind her thick glasses. "They are outside."
"Huh? Sino?"
"Your fans!"
"And?"
"They know we are together."
"So?" Alyssa said, jutting out her lips. She was puzzled. She and Dennise are together- they neither confirm nor deny but they are what people think they are. "They know we are together."
"No, that's not it."
"Then ano?"
"They know my car. Remember that one time we went out for dinner after your game and they followed us? The dinner became a meet-and-greet session."
