________By the end of the day, I was tired and starving. Ashley had track practice today, my parents had to work today also and I missed the bus trying to get a snack out machine ... guess I'll have to walked that 2 miles.
For all this I should've join the track team with Ashley when she asked me, but me I'm no athletic at all, so I'll stick to my lil exercises at home.
Lawd... protect me from the stalker behind the bush, the pit-bull behind the fence, and the snakes in the grass, Amen
Just as I did my prayer, I horn blew loud as heck behind me. There wasn't many people left outside so I knew they were blowing at me.
"Come get in this car girl... you know I was coming by yo damn house... got me looking for you all over campus cold as hell ... why you didn't wait!"
Lawd ... you really work in mysterious ways.
He had got out the car and yelled at me.
"Why are you yelling at me... I didn't know obviously. I can't read your mind."
"I'm not getting in until you promise to buy me Mocha for yelling at me." My eyes was filled with tears.
He looked at me shocked before nodding his head. I smirked as he turned away.
"Got to be fucking kidding me." I heard him curse.
I walked over to his car, it was nice and got in slamming his door.
"Don't lock this door," I told him.
"Slam my door again," he said gripping his steering wheel.
Or what I said in my head. I wasn't that brave to say it aloud.
-
He pulled up to the corner store.
I smiled."I'll take a hot chocolate with extra marshmallows and gram crackers ... please." I pouted.
He only scoffed and got out the car leaving it running.
"A large!" He waved me off as I giggled.
-
"Are you going to ask where I stay?" I asked as I continued to sip the hot chocolate.
"Are you going to tell me where you stay?"
He was really making me so angry and I really don't like to get upset.
He smirked when I told him where to turn.
-
We made it to my house and the driveway was empty. I felt a little unease going in with him alone, he might try something.
No worries we have a pistol.
_
He parked on the curb next to my house. I got out first getting my keys out my purse.
"Nice neighborhood." he mumbled to himself.
I purposely took my time getting to the front door, he looked like he was freezing in this breezy weather.
I smirked this time.
I opened the door and was greeted by a silent dark house, I need to tell daddy we need a dog around.
I cut on the lights, quickly didn't like the dark at all.
"Where gonna stay in the living room, so you can sit down and stuff Imma go change."
I put my book sack down by the sofa, he observed his surroundings before sitting on the couch.
"Ain't nobody finna touch you," I told him, jokily
"I don't like unfamiliar places."
I laughed at him and went upstairs. I just threw on some black sweatpants with a plain white shirt.
I took off my shoes and left my socks on, comfy enough.
-
"I actually like Lasagna way more than Spaghetti." I said, defending my favorite food.
"Naw ... Lasagna got too much going on... allat cheese," he frown his face up.
I laughed for what felt like the six-fifth time.
We been at this topic about the best foods to eat about 20 minutes.
"I mean I like spaghetti, but it's just so much slurping and it gets everywhere," I fan hand around dismissing the food.
"Slurping, huh." he smirked, I watch as he lick his lips before biting his bottom lip.
I didn't know why I was feeling so weird in my area, it made me uncomfortable.
I cleared my throat.
"Okay moving on."
He smirked.
"Oh and I read that first page you wrote about me... kinda rude don't you think."
"Well that's how I first felt about you... it might change a little bit."
I smiled at him as he looked in my eyes. My eyes was suddenly closing as I heard keys rattling, I realized our faces was close but our lips were closer... I quickly jumped back and pushed him back and grabbed a pencil and pretend writing just as the door opened.
"Hello sweetie... I'm home."
My mom yelled she always home before dad.
She didn't realize we were in the living room until she turned around and gasped putting a hand over her chest.
I laughed, Angel quickly stood going towards my mom.
"How you doing ... I'm Angel's partner." He held his hand out.
I could tell she was reading him, but she politely shook his hand back and smiled. I quickly got off the floor before it could get awkward.
"Hey mom." I stood on my tippy toes and kissed her cheek, her eyes were still on him.
"I'll have to go now, excuse me."
He grabbed his stuff.
Mom gave me "the brow" as she saw him walked out the door.
I roll my eyes.
"I'll walk you out." I said.
"Imma get dinner started... are you sure you don't wanna stay for dinner?" She asked.
"Thank for the invite... but no'mam."
She nodded him off as I walked him out.
"You didn't have to come out... you don't even have shoes on." I looked down at my mix match socks.
He turn to me, I smiled.
"Go on... before you get sick." He waited for me to turn around to go back in the house.
I was literally flustered... I didn't know what to say or do. So I quickly turned around going back into my warm house.
