"Dream Walker? More like Dream Stalker!" Bethany and her stupid friends were making fun of my horns again. I hated those wretched things, how they told the entire world who I was. I tried to ignore her but she walked over and started pushing me against the wall. "What are ya gonna do? Huh?" she started poking at my chest. "Hey just leave me alone, ok? I don't know why you're so mean to me because I never did anything to you." I was lying. In third grade were best friends, until I cut her hair with my pair of safety scissors. I honestly don't know why I did it, but ever since then she'd hated me. "Hey, leave her alone!" It was Otto, my friend. He was a Dream Walker too. "Oh look, your boyfriend's here to save you."
"Shut up, Bethany. He's not my boyfriend."
"Sure he is! You guys are always at each others' houses."
"Shut up! We're not dating!"
she scoffed "What ever. Enjoy your cult. Come on girls, we're out of here."
Her and her dumb friends walked away. I looked at Otto. He was lank, with a long face and dark black hair that matched the black horns atop his head. He was taller than me and much skinnier, but we were good friends. No one really knew his real name. Ever since the first day of first grade he'd told everyone that his name was Otto. I looked up at him. "Thanks." he handed me a bubble tea and smiled. "No problem." I took a sip. "is this Thai Tea flavored?" He nodded. We walked to history together. Otto and I had been best friends since second grade. He'd always get me stuff like tea or pastries, always something sweet. He was nice. He always stuck up for me, even though he was just about as lame. I fixed the little black horns that I wore on my head. Black had always been a very spiritual color for Dream Walkers. I just can't remember why.
