The Confederate still exists. After all, the memory is still running rampade. Actually, when Alfred is sick, Confed will go in his place. Since living with Alfred, Confed can easily mimic the other perfectly. The only one who can even tell the difference between the two is Canada.
Also, Confed's civilian name is John. He's more civilized than Alfred, but isn't as good at voicing his thoughts as Alfred is. Plus, he has NASCAR. ;)
