I was just getting my books from my locker when Maya ran up to me.

"Oh my gosh! Alex! Did you hear a new pack is coming to town! That means a whole bunch of hot new werewolf boys in school! How amazing is that?" She exclaimed.

"Fantastic." I said with a scowl on my face. I was more angry than upset now. My aunt had been very careful around me this morning in case I exploded or broke down in tears, werewolves aren't exactly known for their calm tempers.

"What's wrong with you this morning? Is it the play?" She asked, clearly concerned about my lack of interest in the new boys coming to the school. But I already knew the boys coming here, one in particular.

"The pack that's coming is my old pack." I snapped. I immediatly felt bad for being grumpy with her but I think I'm entitled to be in a bad mood.

"Oh! Alex, I'm so sorry! I didn't know." She pulled me in for a quick hug which made me feel better. Maybe i can survive this if I have my friends.

At lunch that day all my friends were chatting about the new pack. Maya kept glancing at me to check if I'm okay. I don't really mind them talking about it as long as Darren and Kayla aren't involved. I had realised that I could see my family again when they come here. I don't really know how they'll react when they see me becuse the don't know I'm here and of course there's a certain family member I would rather be punched in the face than see everyday.

"Alex, are there any cute boys in your old pack?" Hannah asked.

Lily shot her an apprehensive glance. "I guess..." I replied. I never really thought about boys before I met Darren and after you find your mate you aren't going to be thinking about other people. Well... At least you aren't supposed to. Obviously some people don't feel the same way.

They launched straight back into the conversation but I wasn't really listening. I didn't want to talk about my old pack but they were all excited so I wasn't going to stop them.

I barely spoke for the rest of lunch and when the bell rang, I ran to my class. It was history so everyone was sitting in their pairs, working on their projects. There was no sign on Kayden. I sighed and sat down, pulling out my plan for our project. I had already figured that I would be doing most of the work because he seemed completely uninterested but I had hoped he would at least turn up so I could ask his opinion.

About ten minutes into the lesson Kayden finally wandered in the classroom. The teacher didn't even bother to tell him off so this must happen a lot. He sat down next to me and plugged his headphones in. I was about to tell him off for being rude when I caught a glimpse of what he was listening to. It was 'You're Not Alone' by Of Mice And Men. I freaking love that song! Instead of saying anything I pulled one of the buds out of his ears and put it in my own.

He gave me a shocked look.

"You like this song?"

"Hell yeah!" I replied. He just shrugged and turned away.

I just ignored him and carried on with the project he pretty much said nothing for the rest of the lesson while I was working. He ocasionally told me I was doing something wrong in the project but showed no sign of helping me.

It finally got to the end of the lesson.

"Hey! Kayden, can I have your number? Just in case I need to ask you something about the project?" I asked, half expecting him to just walk away. Instead he held out his hand for my phone. I handed it over so he could put his number in. When he was finished, he nodded and walked away.

He really is a strange person.

At the end of the day, instead of going to rehearsel, Mrs Beach sent me to see Mr Lewney. I arrived at the music room where I had seen Kayden playing the piano. Mr Lewney was no where in sight so I sat on the piano stool and rested my hands on the keys. I started trying to work on Dance Party which is the instrumental peice on Sleeping With Sirens Album rather than attempting to remember the peices I had been playning on the piano in the woods.
