The next week went by quickly. I didn't get a chance to go back to the piano as I had so much homework. In a way I was glad for all the work as, like the piano, it took my mind off everything else. I went round to Maya's house one day and all we did was watch the titanic, cry, stuff our faces with food then cry more. I was getting quite close to Maya. Of course I talked to the other girls as well but I spent more time with Maya.

I had discovered that I had all my lessons with Maya and I had history with Morgan, chemistry with Hannah and Maths with Lily as well. Lily really was smart. She was by far the top of my maths class and I am sure she is top of her other classes as well.

One day while I was wondering round the school I found the music room. It was a small room with a piano in the center. I really wanted to play it but I didn't think I was allowed. I had never seen the music teacher so I had no idea whether she was nice or not.I didn't really want to get on her bad side by playing on it if I wasn't allowed.

My job was going well. Rick was cool and I bought loads of new music. I was too embarrassed to play the guitar again in case Rick caught me.  I really wanted to try it out again and learn how to play it proparly. All of the instruments looked so beautiful on the wall but I think they would look a thousand times better when someone plays them. I found some really cool guitar covers on youtube so now I was itching to try one of them out on the amazing instruments.

I didn't remember about the sleepover until Friday morning. The girls were talking about it all day. You'd think they had never had a sleepover before! They were discussing and planning it all the time.

When I arrived home on Friday afternoon I got my stuff, got changed quickly and drove to Morgans house. My aunt was out and my uncle was working on private pack business so I didn't feel bad about not spending time with them. They were being so nice to me and I didn't have anything that I could give back to them in return for their kindness.

On the way to Morgans house it started to rain and a thick fog settled over everything, making it very hard to see more than a metre in front of the car. In the distance I saw lightnening, closely followed my some thunder. Great, just great I thought.I had never been to Morgans house before and I hadn't driven round the area at all so the storm was defnitely not helping.

After about five minutes I had concluded I was lost. I stopped along a road with picture perfect identical houses along it. They all had white picket fences, flower boxes, lace curtains and pale blue doors.

I got out my phone to try and ring Morgan because the sleepover was at her house but my phone decided to die on me. I groaned in frustration. My only option was to ask for directions. I dashed out of my car and ran to the nearest house.

I started to jump up and down to try and make myself warmer while I waited for the door to open. When it finally did i looked at the person who did the opening and was surprised. In fact I was so surprised that I slipped over when I landed my jump. I then fell straight on my bum in front of a total stranger. Smooooooth Alex......

The stranger just happened to be the Darren-look-a-like from school who was now staring at me in confusion. Seeing him made my heart hurt. Every time I thought of Darren it hurt and this guy looked so similar it was impossible not to think of him. He had the same tousled blonde hair and sky blue eyes. I was getting used the pain Darren made though. I had to get used to it because it was going to be there for the rest of my life.

"Um.... hi?" I said after a while. He snapped out of his confusion and helped me up.

"Hello?" He half asked.

" I got lost in the storm on the way to my friends house and I came to ask to borrow your phone before I .... you know...."

"Fell over?" He finished.
