I stared at Rachael as she waited for me to explain. Waited for me to explain why I was kissing the life out of Jasper because I felt like we were a dream and that I would wake up and not remember him or Nate ever again. I bit my lip as I walked slowly down the hill was already in front of Rachael. She crossed her arms and glared at me.

"Care to explain why you were kissing him when you just met him?," She asked as her eyes flashed with question. I gulped at her fierce stare and remembered how nervous I get when people look at me like that. I felt the butterflies in my stomach, my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest and I willed myself to calm down. But my stupid old personality came back once I remembered myself and how nervous I get when people glared at me. So I did the only thing I could do. Lie like hell.

"I uh didn't just meet him, I was uh secretly dating for a month and a half," I said softly. Rachael stared at me in shock before she started to squeal. She pulled into a hug and I hugged her back awkwardly. I forgot how much I get so awkward when I hug someone whom I haven't known for awhile. Thankfully, she let go of the hug and smiled brightly at me.

"Why didn't you tell me!?" She gushed as she linked her arm with mine and we strolled through the park, enjoying the spring breeze as we smiled at each other. I tucked a hair behind my hair and looked at her while blushing.

"Because I was to shy to tell you about it, I mean after what happened with James..." I trailed off while remembering what almost happened to me. Nate was about to murder James when I was talking to him on the phone about him and how he remembered how James was about to rape me. He really wanted to kill until I convinced him not to.

"So, how did it happen?" she asked as she wiggled her eyebrows and I laughed.

"Well, I was at this park, sitting under the tree when he walked up to me and wanted to talk to me. He said how much he liked me and how he wanted to go on a date with me. I was extremely hesitant because of what happened with James but then he told me he was nothing like that douchebag and how much he cared about me so I finally said yes," I said blushing as I ducked my head down while smiling softly. Rachael tackled me into a hug and squeezed the life outta of me until she finally let go. She tucked pieces of my hair behind my ear and gripped my forearms and smiled. She pressed her nose against mine and gave me an Eskimo kiss. I laughed as she did that.

"I'm so happy for you! You have a boyfriend that is extremely sweet to you!" she squealed and I laughed. We linked arms as we strolled through the park, even though I was nervous being around Rachael since I was lying to her. I bit my lip and looked down at the ground as we walked. We ended up talking about Jasper and how cute he was. I told her how we met and how he asked me out. "He sounds like a gentlemen"

"He is," I say blushing. Jasper has always been amazing to me since the first day I met him. He noticed me, the invisible girl. The illegal girl. The forgotten girl. He has always noticed me and accepted me. He has loved me. My heart skipped a beat just thinking about him. My first love. My first kiss. Even though I ran as soon as he kissed me. He still loved me. He still cares about me and he never abandoned me. He was the first person to notice me.

"Hello Emery! You there!" Rachael snapped her fingers and I blinked. She giggled at my expression and wrapped her arm around me. I blushed and tucked a hair behind my hair like I always did. "Girl, you got it bad"

"I guess I do," I say blushing. I looked back to where Jasper was talking to his friends. He suddenly looked back at me and smiled. He quickly mouthed I love you to me and my cheeks couldn't have gotten any more red. I ducked my head down and walked with Rachael towards my house. We said goodbye and parted ways.

I got home and pressed my body against the door. The love of my life just remembered me and I have no idea what to do about it.
