I opened my eyes, panting heavily and my heart racing - it was just a dream. My alarm gave off an ear-splitting beep, forcing me to topple off my bed and slamming into the ground. I crawled on the rugged floor and made an attempt to turn off the alarm which continued to screech. I made a second attempt and finally turned it off. I took a glance at the time on the alarm. It was 7:30!!! Oh no I'm going to be late. Today's Wednesday and I'm on duty for half the day. My shift starts at 8:00 and I haven't even showered. I hurriedly got off the floor and made my way to the bathroom. I took a 5 minute shower, which was rather unusual seeing as I normally take a 10 to 15 minute shower. I got myself dried as fast as I could, applied lotion to my body and got dressed.
