Max woke up the next morning and looked at the island "I can see a blacksmith shop we should dock near there." He said as if he completely forgot about last night, he hid it only to make Xael happy.

"You can see it but it isn't as close as you think..we'll dock where we can."

"Your the one steering." He said with a nod of agreement.

"Right.." She could tell the night before was fresh in his mind but still refused to say anything of it. She spun the wheel and docked where they could, though it wasn't too far from the shop.
Max wondered if she was still thinking of last night he wouldn't be surprised if she forgot all about it

"if we travel along the shore we shouldn't get lost that way and we have more range of sight for any Hix." He pointed out as he hopped off the boat.

"Well, you might just be a strategic help after all." She thought about smiling, but who needs emotion?

He smiled slightly "im just lucky you haven't thrown me off board yet." He said sarcastically.

"Don't push your luck." She hopped off. "We'll let Sugar sleep for now.."

"I can see it from here so we shouldn't be to long plus she's smart she won't go anywhere right?"

"She knows better than to wander off. She has candy anyway."

"Good point." Max said as he began to lead the way, the image of Xael's smile lingered in his mind he wanted to see it again but he knew it would be a low chance.. She's is a pretty tough cookie as they say. But by the way Max seemed, Xael knew he was thinking about it. There was no doubt in her mind. She just wished he hadn't had the chance to see it in the first place...damn childish hopes and dreams!

'Damn childish curiosity.. You had to go and soften the strongest member of the team, you can't do anything right can you.' Max though to himself he tried to shake it off it didn't work. Lucky before he knew it he was standing outside of the blacksmith. Xael snapped out of it and signaled the blacksmith, spoke to him for a moment, then the man led them in to browse the selection of weapons. Max looked around at the swords and such but nothing he was trained to use if they had any guns that might work?
Luckily The blacksmith let him observe different types of guns that required new kinds of ammunition he never knew of. Max was amazed he jumped around abit like a child at a amusement park. He selected two twin pistoles and a ton of ammunition and went to the counter to pay. Xael picked out a scythe made of wood from a cherry tree that had a lot of power, then a jungle knife for Sugar.

"It's on me." Max said grabbing his cash.

"Are..you sure?"

"You payed for the food I'll pay for this don't worry I'll Cover it." Max said handing the money to the guy.

"Thanks.." She smiled a bit. Shit, not again! Why Xael, why?!

Max didn't show it but on the inside he was celebrating like it was the forth of July. He grabbed his weapons and stepped back so she could grab hers. Xael picked up the weapons for her and Sugar then let the large blade hang over her shoulder. Max slide the Guns away into there holders that he had attached into his belt as he hid the ammo away in his jacket. They walked back to the ship. Once on board, Xael took out a pocket knife and began putting designs into the wood of the handle. First off, she put in her name. Nearly widdled into the handle was the name "Xael Pendleton". Second was what they were on currently, "The Quest for Color".

Max sat down and watched her slightly well eating some of the bread they had brought. He looked around the ship if looked boring and plain being grey and such but he felt like shapes of random colours would be cool? Xael continued with her widdling till the letters were in, then put away her pocket knife.
Max sighed and looking up at the clouds in the sky we was gonna put on his goggles but stopped as he started to remember last night again. Xael saw his hesitation and sighed silently, walking down to the lower deck.

Max got up and hopped of the boat he needed to walk around it was boing waiting on a boat. "I'm going to walk with insight of the boat okay!" He yelled back as he started walking off near the forest. Sugar watched him walk off and went to go see if Xael would play with her. Max was alone. Max wandered the forest looking back every once and a while to see the ship, he sighed and to a breath of fresh air it still tasted like fresh dewy moss despite the fact that everything was grey. He herd a rustle in the bushes and a small green thing. Hix. He quickly took out his gun and shot at it, something green and prism shaped fell off the Hix it was at his feet so he picked it but it was if at that moment they it sprung alive again. Not sure what to do he ran with the prism back to the ship "Xael! Xael! Help!!! It's mad!!"

Xael attached her scythe blade back to its handle and ran back on deck. "Max, what the hell?! What is it, what're you doing?!"

The Hix ran at them extremely mad he shot at it a bit more it slowed down before dropping dead. "Heheh.. Sorry.. It's scared me.." He said forgetting about the green prism under his arm.
She cursed under her breath then felt a certain energy near Max.

"Oh my god...you have it's prism, that's why it was so pissed off!"

"It's what?" Max looked down at it "this thing? It feel off when it died do I grabbed it as like a reward? Plus i think it matches my eyes." He said trying to joke holding it next to his face.

A bright smile appeared on Xael's face. "Break it! Break it, Max!"

"Break it but it was my prize?" Max said with a small sigh.

"It's what they use to store the color that they steal! Whatever color it is, you can break it and it'll be restored!"

"Um okay?" He was very unsure as he went in smashed it on the sides of the boat. He had his eyes shut tight thinking it would break like glass. It cracked and just as she said the color peaked through, restoring the green that was stolen in the area. Max opened his eyes at the trees and the few spots of grass it was amazing. He smiled wide Like a small child. Xael smiled more while watching him and Sugar joined in, though she couldn't see it herself. Sugar and Max could, she couldn't.

Okay so fun fact any chapter that is not named after a colour is a filler nothing to drastic happens that effects the storyline it's basically just character development so I hope you don't mine me putting it out there!
