"Oh! Hello, nice to see you again!" Emily greeted Vernon happily as he walked into the diner.
"It's nice to see you too!" Vernon took a seat at one of the booths near Emily. She finished wiping down the table next to him and walked over, straightening her apron and pulling out a notepad.
"What would you like to drink?"
"A tall glass of you."He said with a wink. Emily laughed and threw her hair over her shoulder trying to get her face to stop burning.
"That's uh, that's not on the menu." She said with an awkward laugh making her voice crack.
"Yeah, totally. Um, then can I get a water?"
"Yeah, of course. Um, are you ready to order?" Vernon nodded. That was stupid. Why did you say that?
