A Mountain to tell upon

Once Alfren leaves Erchan clams down and falls over again. He keeps asking why I was talking to Alfren and why didn't I wake him up and other thing like that. All I tell him is, "you were sleeping you need the rest, your exhausted." He mumbles to him self and falls back asleep.

I stay up for most of the night till Erchan wakes up and takes my spot, but I think he fell asleep doing that. Luckily were weren't attacked again.

When I had finally woke up it was midday and Erchan was gone. I found a note under a rock, it said " Follow the path for more than you hope for." I saw no path but I saw something that. I guessed was the start of something.

I grabbed my stuff and headed in the direction that my instincts told me to go. It was a sign it said," For the person who look for the truth." I had no idea what that meant, but I followed it. The half-trail was in a forest that spreed out on a mountain

I searched for other sings but I couldn't see any. The only things I saw in the forest were trees bushes.

I was walking for awhile before I came across a big fox, not like the ones from Alfren's pack. This one is a lot smaller but still bigger than normal foxes, maybe he was a baby fox from his pack. He was bleeding from a wound on his side, he looked terrified. Like he just saw his whole family get massacred. His fur was a fiery orange stained deep red from the blood, his green eyes dimmed from the huge black holes , he was shaking uncontrollably.

He must have been like Erchan because he was trying to speak English, all i could understand was when he said " Don't look for the truth it the devils work it's all a trick." He said that right before he died right in front of my eyes, in a pool of blood.

I was shocked when he just dispersed blood and body. It was there one second and gone the next. I was thinking of just going back. What if this happen to me or is this just some sort of trick to scare me away. I was seriously doubting my decision to come into the forest.

I still wanted to know the truth what ever that meant. I needed to know, and what ever just happened made me more curious. I was going to find what it was that did that to the fox. I can't go with out knowing now, if knowing all this is that bad there must be something i could use from it. Although my biggest reason was to avenge that poor fox no one deserved that type of pain. I wouldn't wish that pain on any one.

After few minutes more of walking on the trail i found another sign, it said " If you go back you'll never know the truth, but if you keep going you'll find the truth and the horror of what it is." This made me nervous, but it also made me more curious.

"Erchan, what type of game is this? Is this even you?" I yell out his name a few more times. After I quite down I start to realise that I might not be alone, I hear the bushes move. I take my knife from my bag quickly.

The noise is circling me getting closer and closer. I get into a fighting position, making sure that if I get attacked I'll be as ready as possible.

I look every where to see if any thing is there, but nothing, all that happens is the sounds getting closer than farther. So I try to ignore it and keep walking, the path seems to be getting smaller every few yards. Branches and other things started getting in my hair; even though I was distracted the noise never stoped, it keep swishing around me.

I walked till there was no path at all, it felt like day even though it has only been a few hours. My hair was tangled with beaches and vines intertwined in it. I felt so lost, yet all I could was follow my instincts. I started to tune out the noise that follows me, but I can never forget it.

I am starting to get tired, then out of no where I see it, a sign similar to the last one I saw. I run up to it to read what it says, before I can do that though the things from around me howl and click and make odd noises. They sound like they are in pain, then I see it blood pools of it seem to be slowly draining to me tiny foxes, baby's  it seems are dead along with humans and big foxes like the ones from Alfren's pack.

A red-fox with 2 tails like Erchan, he's  a lot smaller and covered in blood. He doesn't seem scared though even with what looks like his family dead around him. His face shows he feels pleases with him self, a fox that looked like alfren apered, he was small like erchan, still bigger than erchan though. Blood was one his white coat as well.

"I suggest you run Erchan, I will tell the rest that a wolf invaded us and you ran. I ones who know the truth I'll kill. Just come back eventually okay brother? I'll build us up stronger than before we will rule the forest as top pray." Alfren says with affection for his brother. Alfren has 2 tails now though not like the present where he has only one. He uses his tail to pet Erchan's head.

"Good bye alfren." Is all he said, uninterested in him. He ran fast his tails held high and with pride.

The vision starts to fade out and I'm left back in the forest no blood no body's. I'm crying silently from the pain I felt from the ones who had died. I crawl over to the sign and get to my feet. It says, "This is only part of the truth, turn back if it is to much, this is the last warning." Even with all of this I keep going, never looking back. I need to know, if it helps me or not i do not care, I just need to know. Tears stain my face for much longer, but I walk.
