Aki is the more brash of all the brothers. He also shows possession over his twin Shima. He was originally distant toward Ren and rude to Haru but eventually he over came those feelings and the Kaidou family was officially started. Physically he is much more shorter than his twin Shima even though he is the elder among the twins.

Shima and his brother Aki are half-brothers to Haru. Their father was previously married to Haru's mother. He grew up with Aki at their maternal grandparent's place and they both moved in with Haru after graduating from high school.
