Part 5: Don't Leave Me...

.*At the house with Haru.

Haru was at the balcony and was talking with someone on the phone. As Haru was busy talking, he didn't notice Ren come upstairs. Ren was about to ask Haru some help because he dropped the lunch box into the river, then Ren noticed Haru was on the phone. Ren knew eavesdropping was bad but he couldn't help but listen.

"Aki, it is just half of summer and you already miss me?" Haru strode long steps back and forth on the balcony.

"Are you and IDIOT or something Aniki? Of course I miss you! Shima also misses you! We want our Nii-san back..." Aki replied from the other line.

"Don't worry. I will go back to Japan... You will see me soon otoutou." As Haru released those words, it seems it had pierced Ren's heart. It made the boy widen his eyes at Haru's statement.

'He is coming back to Japan? Haru will leave me?' Ren realized that Haru won't be staying in Canada that long and was extremely hurt by it. He didn't want to lose Haru. Ren held his whimpers and tears and ran to the garage.

"Good, Shima and I have no one to bully and to body slam on..." Aki laughed

"Plus wii mushed yerui cuchings," Aki mumbled the last of his sentence.

Haru chuckled, he knew his little brother would mumble if he would be saying something embarrassing. Haru wanted to tease Aki a little more. "What was that Aki? Can you repeat that? You know how I hate you mumbling. Hahaha..."

"Erghh! Fine... We missed your cooking okay? We want you back Nii-san..." Aki held back a whimper.

"Aww Aki stop crying... You were literally angry when you called, then you laughed, now you are crying? Nii-san misses you both..."

"I am not crying! There were dust in my eyes!" Aki replied in defense to cover up his crying voice but he can't hide anything from his big brother.

"Yeah, yeah sure... there is dust in your eyes, perhaps you also have a sore throat and a cold? Hahaha..."

"You really are a big meanie Nii-san!" Aki screeched.

"Hahahaha, yes I am a big meanie, and I love you and Shima very much..." Haru cooed.

"Ewww, hahaha... got to go Nii-san. Shima and I are having a mock test tomorrow."

"Okay. Hahaha call again Aki and say hi to Shima for me, okay?"

"Sure Nii-san."

"Okay, take care... love you guys."

"Love you too Nii-san... oh and Nii-san? Bring home some meat! HAHAHA!-" with that Aki hung up.

"AKI! You brat! Hahaha," Haru also returned the phone to its dock.

*Suddenly it rained hard that afternoon.

"Today isn't a wonderful day after all." Haru sighed and was relieved when he heard the dogs running towards home. "Ren is back home..." Haru went downstairs to greet Ren with a hot Cocoa mallows and a dry towel.

"What the-?!!!" Haru frantically searched for Ren but only the dogs were present at the garage staring at the rain. Haru went upstairs to tell Haruko.

*Upstairs in Haruko's room.

"MOM!" Haru literally kicked the door open. As he kicked the door open he saw a devilish aura behind Haruko and her sinister smile.

"Damn you! I TOLD YOU TO CALL ME HARUKO-SAN. H-A-R-U-K-O-SAN! HARUKO!" Haruko threw a large dictionary straight to Haru's head making him fall in the process. Haru backed away and massaged his swollen forehead. He bowed down in sincerity and repeatedly apologized to his mother.
