Chapter 3: fallen in love?

It had been three weeks since Scarlet had started school and she was basically everyones friend! All the other students were the ones trying to be her friend, not her trying! Scarlet was sitting in the art room when their teacher, Mr.Vinci, stood up and yelled,
"Quiet down! I'm giving you an assignment!"
Everyone went into silence.
"As you all know, I grade you on diffrent qualities and I haven't seen any partnerships so, by my say, I will choose your partners and you will both work together to paint a picture of a nature environment nearby."
Some students looked over at Scarlet. Scarlet assumed they thought she knew everything since she hadn't been in the city for that long.
Mr.Vinci cleared his throat and started partnering kids up. He finally got to Scarlet,
"Scarlet you will work with Cameron."
Scarlet felt relieved that her first friend would be her partner. She got up and Cameron and her both met up in the back of the room.
Cameron smiled,
"So what nature environment do you want to do?"
Scarlet smiled,
"I think a pasture with cows in the country."
Cameron nodded and smirked,
"Than its settled. We do what the lady likes."
Scarlet started to blush light red,
"Stop being such a gentle man!"
Scarlet punched Cameron in the shoulder and he laughed.
"Okay okay I am sorry!"

Hours passed as school carried on. Finally the bell rang and Scarlet walked to her locker grabbing her back pack and shutting her locker and yelping as she saw Cameron leaning against the locker behind her lockers door.

"Don't sneak up on me!"

Cameron laughed,
"Why? Your cute when your scared."

Scarlet was flustered and growled,
"So you take advantage of girls?"

Cameron broke out into a loud laugh,
"No not at all! Ok ok let's go. Your place or mine?"

Scarlet shrugged,
"Yours I guess, my place is a crappy apartment."

Cameron nodded and Scarlet and him left the school together. Mabel walked by and talked with Scarlet and Cameron about how annoying her partner was and how he was lazy as crap. Scarlet laughed and Cameron did too.

Scarlet waited with Cameron as he jumbled through his keys. He opened the large old door and stepped aside,

"After you my lady."

Scarlet blushed and mumbled sarcastically,

"I'm only letting you do this because it's cute...."

Scarlet walked into Camerons house as he closed the door. The house was amazing! It had antiques and looked frozen in time! The old brick walls looked crusted but bright. Cameron walked into the kitchen and Scarlet followed. They both sat down and started talking about the project when Scarlets phone rang.
Scarlet looked down and saw her dads phone number.....she had forgotten to call him... Scarlet excused herself for a moment and walked outside and picked the phone up.

"SCARLET ANNE MCSHAW! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!"

"Dad calm down. I'm at a friends house working on a project for art class."

"YOU SHOULD HAVE CALLED ME!"

"I forgot. I'm only human dad. It was an accident okay?"

"*sigh* Okay.....Sorry for yelling Sweetie. Cya when you get home."

"Cya."

Scarlet ended and walked back inside, Cameron was just smirking smugly.

"What? Did I do something?"

"No, you had it on speaker."

"Oh....well....."

"It's okay. I moved so my parents couldn't bother me, but it gets lonesome here. Maybe I could get a roomie...."

Scarlets heart skipped a beat thinking that she could be that room mate.

"Maybe I could....I would have to ask my dad first though."

Cameron smiled

"You would be a cool roommate...."

After hours Scarlet finally left and went home to her father and started talking about Cameron. She mentioned the roommate thing and her father said if she wanted to, she could move with Cameron on one condition. He had to meet Cameron so he could approve an make sure this guy wasn't some kidnapped or worse. Scarlet could hardly keep herself from celebrating! She would move in with Cameron if her dad approved!

But a weird feeling was starting to rise in her heart

What was it?

Love.

She loved Cameron.

The way he talked. The way he walked. The way he smiled. They way he laughed. The way he acted around others and her......it was all to much....too perfect....love was too perfect.
