Chapter 4: Painting home

Scarlets father had agreed that Scarlet could stay with Cameron. Scarlet had been so excited that she packed right away and was ready the next day. She went to school with Cameron and told him about how she would be ready to move to his place.

"Are you going to do the cooking Scarlet?"

"Well duh! I'm the woman!"

They both laughed as they entered their classroom together.

Some of the other students were smirking and whispering to each other. Cameron sat down next to his friends. Scarlet sat down next to Mabel.

Mabel smirked and whispered into Scarlets ear,

"How did you catch that fish?"

Scarlet rolled her eyes,

"We are just friends."

"Moving into a house together? Right."

Scarlet realized how moving in with a friend that was a guy sounded and smiled a little. It was a little stupid in her opinion but she got to have more freedom this way.

After school Scarlet and Cameron walked to Scarlets dads house and picked up her stuff, then started heading to Camerons house.

They made it inside the house and went to the empty extra room upstairs, placing Scarlets stuff inside.

"Thanks for letting me move in."

"No problem! I wanted a roommate anyways! It was getting lonesome as I told you earlier."

Scarlet nodded and smiled,

"I will unpack my things, I'm guessing, since your a dude, it is either take out or left overs for dinner."

"Pizza! Fries! And soda!"

"Okay I agree to all that Cameron!"

They high fives and laughed. Cameron ran out of the room and downstairs to calm the pizza place. Scarlet started putting clothes and other things on the furniture provided in the room.

Scarlet had finshed and was sleeping on her new bed when she felt a little tap on her shoulder. She tilted her head and saw Cameron smiling,

"Cleaning must have been a lot harder then I thought, eh Scarlet?"

Scarlet smiled and sat up,

"I'm just a tired person, I have been staying up lately studying."

Cameron smirked,

"So that's how you get A's and A+'s! I knew you had a secret!"

They laughed and both headed down stairs. They sat at the kitchen table and ate Pizza and fries, they also drank soda of course.

Cameron smiled,

"Do you want to get a pet or something for the house?"

"Yeah. Maybe a cat or dog....or maybe a little pig."

"A pig? Never thought of that."

"We could get a pig to give us artistic ideas for our project. Besides they are so cute at the same time!"

Cameron nodded,

"Than it is settled. We go out tomorrow since it is Friday today and we get ourselves a pet pig."

Scarlet nodded and yawned as she got up placing her dishes away.

"I call naming it....now I'm going to sleep. Cya in the morning Cam."

Cameron nodded,

"Night Scarlet."

Scarlet went up the stairs and into her new room and changed into PJ's and hopped into her new bed. She fell asleep and started drifting into a dream.

Scarlet was standing in the school gym. She had a black dress on and a mask that went around her eyes and above her nose. She had sparkles on the mask and small feathers on the sides made the mask very odd. A figure walked up to her. She assumed it was a man because of his outfit and walk. The man stood there. His outfit was a black tuxedo with a white bow. He was wearing a black top hat and when he tilted his head up he was also wearing a mask. The mask was pure white with black tiger like stripes. The man interlocked hands with Scarlet and began to dance to the silence. They stopped and the man brought his hand to his mask, his hand had white gloves. Her lifted his mask and his face looked so familiar but Scarlet couldn't point it out. Finally, she woke up.

Scarlet sat up and looked around peacefully.

'What an odd dream....wonder what it meant.'

Scarlet got up and wrapped a quilt around herself and headed down stairs.

'Could it have meant I will find out who I love?'

Scarlet shook her head and turned towards the window down stairs. Cameron was sitting there with a paint brush and canvas. He had his tablet placed next to him and it had a picture on it.

It was a picture of Cameron and Scarlet.

They had been taking photos together after one of the school days and making weird faces at each other.

"What are you doing Cameron?"

"Double self portrait."

They laughed at each other and smiled.

"Cute Cameron."

"Hey, I'm not the only cute thing in the room!"

Cameron winked at Scarlet and she blushed and laughed,

"Shut up lady man!"

They laughed at each other then smiled. Scarlet was already used to living in a new home like this.
