LAURA

Laura was attentive as always, being the good girl she is.

"Hello, everybody. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood, where all Greek demigods live. I hope you'll enjoy it here. My name is Annabeth and I am the counsellor of the Athena cabin." a girl who had wavy golden-blonde hair and startling grey eyes started.

"My name is Percy and I'm the counsellor of the Poseidon cabin." a boy with sea-green eyes said.

"Hey, I'm Piper and I'm the counsellor of the Aphrodite cabin." an olive-skinned girl said, giving a little wave. Some of the guys waved back, mesmerized by her beauty. The boy beside her frowned and put his hand on her waist protectively.

"I'm Jason, counsellor of the Zeus cabin. Also, this is my girlfriend, so back off." he faked a smile. All of the guys (except one) scowled at him.

Something about Jason crept Laura out. She felt strangely close to him, yet she didn't remember seeing him before. He had stared at her from the moment she came in, and it was freaking her out.

"Hello, I'm Leo and I am from the Hephaestus cabin," he winked at Laura, and instantly, Laura felt a hand on her shoulder and a pair of lips on her temple. The person who was highly suspicious (aka the one sitting on her right side) was...Ross.

She turned her head just to see Ross blushing like mad. She raised her brows and bit her lower lip, trying to hide in her laugh.

"Okay, so we will be your guide for today. And you guys have been split into three groups, which means two in a group. Here is the grouping. First, we have Lana and Ally, following Leo and Jason."

Two girls squealed and hugged each other.

"Daniel and Philip, following me and Piper."

"Meow!"

Everyone looked at the brown-haired boys weirdly.

"What? It's our thing!" one said.

"Cat whiskers," the other one added helpfully, pointing at his drawn cat-whiskers on his face.

Laura frowned as the other started cracking up. "Hey!" she stood up. The whole room silenced instantly and all eyes were on Laura. "Don't laugh at them. If it's what they like, let them be. Learn to respect other people."

Annabeth smiled at her warmly. "Thank you, Laura." She smiled back and sat down. "And last, Ross and Laura, following Percy."

A surge of happiness ran through their veins. Laura let out a small squeal when Ross pulled her into a tight hug. She wrapped her hands around his neck and he nuzzled his head into her hair, breathing in her scent.

A cough then cut in.

They pulled away and Ross stared irritatedly at the guy who interrupted their moment. Laura didn't mind though.

"Hey, Percy," she said cheerfully.

"Hey Laura," he replied, giving her a smile then turned to the blonde. "Hello Ross."

He just nodded his head. Percy raised his brows and shrugged. "I'm your guide. You ready?"

Laura nodded eagerly while Ross stared at Percy blankly. Laura nudged him with her elbow. "Don't be rude."

Percy chuckled. "It's okay. Let's go." He started walking away. Ross and Laura both stood up but before she could take a step forward, Ross whispered in her ear. "You owe me a hug."

"Sure I do," she teased, catching up to Percy.

"You do!"

"Yeah yeah, whatever perv."

And they stepped out into the broad daylight, with Percy laughing like an idiot while the blonde and the brunette bickered.
