         *Alyssa's POV*

When I got home, I went to my dresser and put on my pjs. Yes I'm that type of person. I put on pajamas after going out to public. I usually don't stay in my outfits unless I'm going somewhere. When I got my pajamas on, I went to the kitchen to rummage through what little food supplies I have and finally settled on cooking spaghetti.
My parents died couple years ago. I try not to think about it too much because in sure that's what they don't want me to do, but I can't help thinking about them every once and a while. Especially since I'm the spitting image of my mom. The only thing I have is my dog, Sugar.
She is a German Shepard with light brown paws and jet black fur. She is completely filled in and in the moonlight, her fur glistens a black-blue. She is a completely remarkable animal.
I was interrupted from thinking about my parents by a deep "Ruff" coming from Sugar.
"Hi girl! How is my baby??" I asked Sugar, who was wagging her tail wildly.
"I missed you!!" I told her, scratching her ears. "Go outside and use the bathroom then you can have dinner." She then trotted out, leaving me feeling a bit empty. Man, I have an awesome dog. Who needs boys when you can get dogs? I chuckled to myself.
When Sugar came back in, we sat down at the couch and ate our dinner. Then I went to my room and got in bed. I kept thinking about my parents deaths and at some point cried myself to sleep.
They told me they were going on a business trip and that they promised they will be back.
"Don't worry honey. We won't be gone for long. It's just for two days." My mother told me. "I love you."
I then saw both my parents board the plane. I watched as they took off on my phone while I was on Skype. The shrill noises of the alarms indicating that something went wrong blared through the speakers of my phone.
"Mom! MOM!!!" I screamed as my mother mouthed 'I'm Sorry... I love-'. It was then the plane blew up into a million ashes.

I woke up screaming my head off and bawling my eyes out. Sugar was my my side in an instant comforting me. When I finally stopped screaming and could see more clearly, I checked my phone to see what time it was. The clock read 6:07am.
I decided that since I more-and-likely won't fall back asleep, I snuggled up with Sugar and stroked her back. Eventually, to my surprise, I fell back asleep and slept soundly.
