VIII. "Fall" in Love

Engagement - "He asked and she said yes...he took her heart and she will take his last name"

Neetu's POV:

Everything just happened in seconds....Laksh saved me but he was shot. He still preferred to confess his feelings for me....

Police came, Laksh was a bit conscious and then blurred the vehicle number of the goons to the police, I even don't know when he noticed their vehicle number. I,with the help of police took him to the nearby hospital....on the way to the hospital I put Laksh's head on my lap and doing first aid, while one of the police officers drove us there. I tried my best to hold my tears.

I didn't know whether the tears came out of the happiness that Laksh confessed his feeling to me or the sadness that he was shot. But one thing I know.... My tears will make him weak...One thing I know I will never let something bad happen to Laksh...I WILL SAVE HIM.

At the hospital:

Dr. Mario: Dr. Pranita shall I start the surgery? Where is his family?

Me: Dr. Mario, please allow me to perform surgery.

Dr. Mario: Don't worry I will take care, Dr.Neetu

Me: No Sir, When it comes to my family I believe in myself than any other professional/specialized doctor.So let me handle the surgery.

I was in discussion with Dr. Mario when my parents arrived. Papa interrupted me and told that he will perform the surgery, I want to argue but I know he is the best doctor and I trust him with my Laksh's life.....

Ravinder uncle and Neelima aunty arrived after the surgery had started, I sat next to my mom and she was holding my hand and it always gives assurance to me everything will be fine.

Ravinder uncle asked me what happen and I told him everything. Neelima aunt was crying continuously and I even don't know when tears started to flow from my eyes... and when Uncle saw Neelima aunt crying he shouted "Stop it Neelima! A single bullet can never kill a Banerjee......Laksh is son of my elder brother Sri Raj Banerjee who was an ultimate fighter, nothing will happen to Laksh!! I will never let something happen to my brother's children" Ravinder uncle declared it. I can see concern for Laksh in his eyes...It was not like he was scolding aunt but it was like he was reassuring himself that nothing will happen to laksh. I saw him making few calls to home ministry. I am sure he will make the goons pay for what they did to my Laksh.

It took 3-4 hours to complete the surgery and Laksh has been moved to VIP room. I sat next to him....

Third Person POV:

Next day early in the morning, Health Minister Mr.Bhagat came to the hospital to visit Laksh. Laksh's mom (Mrs.Shitija Sri Raj Banerjee) was one of his best friends and he somehow feels responsible for the incident. He came to VIP room to check on Laksh. Laksh was sleeping on the bed and Neetu slept on a chair holding laksh's hand...he stands there for few minutes and reassured himself that Laksh is fine before leaving the room.

In the meanwhile, ACP comes there and reports Health minister that three criminals were caught gives Neetu's laptop to her and asks her password to open it. Neetu feels shy to tell the password so she herself opens it and shows it to ACP.

To everyone's surprise, the system showed that All files are corrupted and can't be retrieved again!!

Neetu then replied "Actually Rishi gave me a software which can corrupt a file if opened twice or shared or copied. Rishi installed in my Laptop. As I know I would open the laptop and file only in Delhi in the conference hall, We set the date, time and place where second time should be opened. When goons attacked us they wanted to check the file so they opened it in front of me and then they closed it when satisfied with the result. They thought they can open it later in a safe place as they know the password. I think they tried to open it later yesterday night so the file in my laptop is showing corrupted. So obvious they don't get the formulae."
