Konohagakure's Secret

Chapter 1

I opened my eyes and was greeted with an abyss of darkness. My hands were bound together with chakra seals on it. I am not a shinobi.

From a far distant I could hear foot steps making their way towards me. In a place where you are all alone hearing will be your speciality. Standing in front of me are Pein, Konan, Itachi and Hidan.

Out of the corner of my eye, I knew that Itachi is looking at me sternly. Hidan was looking at me like a mad man knowing he could sacrifice me to his unreal god, Jashin.

"Akemi Jipoto, a priestess who has been living near the border of the Land of Fire and Konohagakure citizen. What made you leave the hometown on where you grew up?" My eyes narrowed at the leader of the Akatsuki. How did he know that I came from Konoha?

"I wanted to become a priestess. Granted, Lord Hokage gave me the consent to leave the village" Those eyes did not took my answers. He knew something that the others didn't. Could it be?

"But you are required to come back to the village in order to assure that you didn't become a spy, am I right?"A sly smile approached my lips. He even knows of the conditions

"Hai. That is what Lord Hokage wanted"

"Do you know that the Third Hokage had already died?"

My eyes grew in shock. I knew that the old man had little time left but I didin't expect it to be soon

"Who killed him?" Anger did radiate from my voice

"Orochimaru, you did hear that name from Konoha" The snake sannin. I gritted my teeth which Pein gladly enjoyed seeing

"Why weren't you there Jipoto? You are a shinobi"

"I am no shinobi" I stated with might. Leaving no room to argue with. But the leader saw otherwise

"Then how come you knew us?"

" I am very much aware of my surroundings"

"You should be cautious of what you speak in front of me. I know you like the back of my hand, including your real identity"

Darn it.

They started to leave the place where I was bound to be for the time being. I looked up and saw Itachi was still present

"Do not be a threat to the Leaf Village" and by that, Itachi Uchiha disappeard from my sight
