*One week later*
*Becca's POV*
"Here are your keys. Hope you like it!" The realtor says and smiles before she walks down the stairs and out of the apartment building.
Zoe and I have successfully made our way to Crescent City and just rented an apartment. It's the cheapest we could find so it's very small with only one kitchen, one bedroom, one living room with a medium sized TV and one bathroom. But we do have a small balcony big enough for a small table and two chairs. We have also registered to go to high school here, we both need to graduate senior year. And just to be able to pay our rent when our savings run out we have both gotten a job at a dinner 10 minutes from the apartment building.
As we enter our new home and close the door, neither of us can't help but smile. We are starting our new life together. We quickly unpack our stuff which doesn't take long and then we go to the grocery store to buy some food. When we get home we cook dinner and after we finish the dishes we get ready for bed since we start school as early as tomorrow. The one bedroom has only one queen sized bed so we have to share but it doesn't matter at all for us. When we lay down and pull the sheets up to our chin we give each other a genuinely happy smile before falling asleep.
Beep
Beep
Beep
I groan as I get up and walk out to the kitchen next door to turn off the alarm on my phone that has been charging during the night while Zoe keeps on snoring in the bed. Gosh, she's so cute even though she is quite the sleepy head. But when I see the small message under the alarm I am filled with energy. We have to get ready for school!
"Zoe!" I shout louder than I really have to.
"What?!" She groans from the bed.
"We have to get ready for school!" I yell back still louder than necessary.
"Shit!" She says as she jumps out of bed and directly starts going through our small closet.
I go back to the kitchen and take out cereal for us both meanwhile Zoe comes out of the bedroom with two sets of clothes for us. We have planned to enter the school with heads held high and looking our best to impress everyone. We eat breakfast in a hurry and quickly showers before we blow dry our hair and I straighten mine while Zoe leaves hers in their naturally perfect curls. Then we start to get dressed. Zoe wears a dark blue crop top with the text "Badass" in black letters on, light blue ripped skinny jeans, white converse and a white leather jacket while I'm wearing a black leatherjacket, grey sneakers, a pair of black ripped jean-shorts I actually made myself in school a while ago and a black crop top with the text "Badass" in white letters on. We picked our outfit to compliment each others, Zoe is going for the lighter colors as they match her olive skin tone while the dark colors fits me better even though she is the brunette and I'm the blonde.
We continue getting ready by applying make-up. We're having the same style of make-up, with eyeliner around the entire eye with wings on the end and eyeshadow to match our individual outfit, completed with mascara. We both think it's a waste of effort to wear foundation since neither of us have anything we need to cover up in our faces. Even my bruises have faded to where they're barely visible thanks to Vixens amazing healing capability. Only some of the deepest scars remain but I personally don't think it looks bad with a couple of scars on a boy or a girl. It only shows that the person has been through a lot and is still standing strong. Besides, they make me look even more badass. Heheh.
Done we check each other to make sure none of us has missed anything. When we both approve and agree on looking smokin' hot we take our new school backpacks and throw them over one shoulder before we start walking towards school.
