not proofread still i'm such a pro

"guys! i found a ouija board!" josh exclaimed, running out from the storage closet. tyler shook his head.

"oh hell to the no," he exclaimed, "i am not using a ouija board."

"c'mon, it'll be fun," ryan said, grinning. dallon shook his head.

"in what world is getting possessed by demons fun?" dallon exclaimed.

"well, i mean, if it's not fake or whatever, we could talk to... you know..." josh stammered. ryan frowned.

"josh, we don't have proof that they're dead, they could-"

"i know," josh muttered, "anyway, let's just use it for the hell of it."

"i'm not doing this," tyler muttered. "i'm going to take a bath. i don't want any part of this," with that, tyler walked upstairs. after a moment, the faint sound of water running could be heard.

"i'm just gonna read my book," dallon muttered. josh, spencer, jon, and brendon decided to use the board just for shits and giggles.

"who wants to be the person that asks questions or whatever?" spencer asked, "cause i sure as hell am not."

"i volunteer as tribute!" ryan exclaimed. the others laughed.

"alright, ry, ask something," jon muttered. everyone put a finger on the planchette, and ryan thought up a question.

"right, um... who are we talking to?" he asked, trying his best to be somewhat serious. the planchette moved.

"alright, who's moving it?" brendon muttered. the slider moved to the letters "S-I-S-T-E-R." josh's eyes widened.

"whoever did that- that's not funny!" josh exclaimed.

"w-which sis-sister?" ryan asked nervously. the piece moved to the letters: "B-R-E-E-Z-Y." josh went pale.

"josh, we can stop if-" ryan started, but was cut off.

"no, i want to know what it says," josh said, focusing on the board.

ryan hesitated before asking, "what happened to you last year?" the slider moved to the letters "K-I-L-L-E-D, B-E-T-R-A-Y-E-D."

"no, no! that's not right!" josh exclaimed, tears in his eyes, "we didn't kill them! it was a stupid prank!"

"josh, calm down," dallon said from the other room, "i bet one of them are moving the piece."

"i swear, i'm not doing it!" ryan exclaimed. the others said the same. josh shook his head.

"i can't do this," josh muttered before leaving the room.

-

"jenna, i swear i hear something," taylor said, beginning to panic. "something isn't right." jenna rolled her eyes.

"we're fine."

"something's following us," taylor said, glancing behind her shoulder, "i can hear it."

"tay, stop worrying so much."

"jenna, we're not alone out here, i can feel it," taylor argued. jenna rolled her eyes.

"taylor, stop. no one can hurt us. we're all alone."

"if we're alone then who the hell is that?" taylor exclaimed. jenna shifted her gaze from taylor to the area in front of them. her eyes widened.

"i don't know!" jenna whisper-shouted. taylor grabbed jenna's hand and ran. jenna staggered but quickly followed.

-

"jenna and taylor have been out for a long time," ryan muttered. dallon shrugged.

"maybe they got lost on the trail?"

"jenna hasn't texted me back in a while..." josh mumbled. "she stopped even reading my messages."

"maybe she lost her-" spencer got cut off by the door bursting open, followed by two girls; jenna and taylor. taylor slammed the door and locked it before pushing the bookcase in front of it.

"what the hell?" jon exclaimed, quirking an eyebrow at the girls.

"i don't know what the hell just chased us, but it was fucking terrifying," jenna said, out of breath and near tears. "nobody is to move that shelf or open the door, got it?"

"hold on, hold on," dallon shook his head, "explain what happened."

"jenna and i were going to grab my bag as you know," taylor started, "and we were on the trail. we started hearing strange noises. then, some weird fucking... creature jumps out of the trees. it was like... human? but not human! it was-" ryan burst out laughing.

"you're kidding, right? there's no way you're being serious here," ryan exclaimed, "you guys are seventeen. grow up! monsters aren't real."

"no, no, no. you don't fucking get it," jenna exclaimed, "there was something chasing after us, and it was not fucking human! it walked around on its arms and legs, but it was super fast, and its eyes were all foggy, and its skin was patchy and dry, and it was skinny, like really skinny... and-"

"jenna, stop lying, you're starting to scare me," jon muttered. jenna let out a frustrated groan.

"we're not lying, idiot! that thing could have fucking killed us!" taylor exclaimed.

"you guys are in just as much danger as we are at this point, so if you don't believe us, have fun dealing with this yourself," jenna muttered before walking upstairs. taylor followed soon after.

-

"melanie, let's ditch this cabin..." ashley muttered, "we've been trying to find it for an hour, and i swear i heard a scream..."

"loosen up, ash," melanie said, her tone laced with annoyance, "you're way too nervous. this'll be fun! a little time alone, if you know what i mean." melanie winked. ashley let out a half-hearted laugh.
