guys, i don't think we have anything to worry about," spencer mumbled, "we're perfectly safe here."
"i don't know, man. jenna and tay sounded pretty scared," brendon said, glancing towards the window. dallon's eyes widened.
"melanie and ashley!" he exclaimed. the others sent him a confused look.
"what about them?" ryan questioned, gesturing for dallon to continue.
"they're still out there," dallon said, pacing back and forth, "if... whatever thing jenna and taylor were talking about is real, they're in danger."
spencer groaned, "get a hold of yourself! monsters aren't real. we're perfectly fine. jenna and taylor were seeing things."
"i don't know man..." brendon mumbled, "we should stay alert. just in case."

melanie and ashley sighed in relief as they entered the guest cabin. it wasn't exactly warm, but it was better than the bitter wind outside. melanie sat down on the slightly dusty couch and sighed.
"ash, can you light the fireplace? it's freezing in here," melanie whined. ash rolled her eyes.
"it'll be plenty warm when we're rubbing up against a each other," ashley said with a wink. melanie didn't seem pleased.
"ashley. i am a lady, and a lady wants to curl up by a fire and have mood lighting," melanie deadpanned. ashley rolled her eyes and searched for a lighter or a box of matches.
"hey! check this out!" ashley exclaimed as she pulled a shotgun down from a shelf on the wall. "pretty cool, eh?"
"ashley. fire. mood lighting."
"right," ashley mumbled, setting the gun back onto the shelf. she wandered around before finding a box of matches on a table near the doorway. she walked towards the fire and knelt down next to it. opening the little door to the fire place, she put a few slabs of wood in and lit the fire. "lookie, lookie. who's gonna fire up some nookie?"
"you've been dying to use that line since we got here, haven't you?" melanie said, rolling her eyes and laughing. ashley sat down next to mel.
"now that we've got fire and mood lighting..." she mumbled, smirking. melanie shifted uncomfortably.
"i don't know if i'm really feeling it," she mumbled. ashley frowned.
"but-"
melanie's eyes widened as she stood up and started looking around the room frantically. "fuck! it's gone!"
"what's gone?" ashley questioned, standing up and raising an eyebrow at melanie.
"it's gone, okay?"
"tell me what's gone," ashley prodded.
"my phone," melanie whined.
"hey, calm down. maybe you left it at the lodge," ashley sighed, "or maybe you dropped it outside."
"that's my fourth one this year! my parents are gonna kill me!" melanie exclaimed.
