Chapter 1: First Date

CHAPTER 1

First Date

KORRA'S POV

I stood in front of my mirror looking over my make-up. Asami insisted that I wore it. A girl's first date was important, after all.

"You look great!" Asami told me from behind. I sure was lucky to have a friend into fashion, even if I was hesitant about the make-up. I was dressed in my usual water tribe clothes, but had two pony tails instead of three. I didn't feel like overdressing for a movie. All I wanted to do at the moment was get off the island and go see Mako.

I turned to face Asami. "Thanks, I'll see you tomorrow."

"I want to know all the details!" Asami called after me as I ran out the door.

MAKO'S POV

"Hey, Bo, what are you doing tonight?" I asked.

"Oh, you know, training Pabu, practicing at the gym, and wishing I was you", Bolin replied.

I gave a light-hearted laugh. I always knew Bolin had a crush on Korra, but that wasn't stopping me from going out with her. She's the most amazing girl I've ever met. She was tough and stubborn, but she always put others before herself. I smiled thinking about her. I adjusted my scarf and headed out the door.

KORRA'S POV

~After Movie~

"That was a good movie." I said to Mako.

"Yeah," Mako said. "Do you want to walk around the park for a little bit before you go back to Air Temple Island?"

I smiled. "Sounds great!"

We had been walking around in a comfortable silence for about 15 minutes when we decided to sit down on a nearby bench. I laid my head on his shoulder. After about five minutes he shifted slightly, so I looked up. He looked right back at me. I glanced down at his lips quickly, but he saw it. Slowly, we both started to lean in and-

"Hey guys!" Bolin shouted. "I thought you guys were seeing a movie?"

"It ended a while ago." Mako replied.

"What are you doing here Bolin?!" I asked with a little too much force. He looked at how close we were and realized what we were about to do.

"Oh, um, just walking Pabu. We're going home now," Bolinn gave a fake yawn. "It's getting late."

"See you later Bo!" Mako said.

We watched Bolin walk away until he was out of sight. When we were sure he was gone, we turned back to face each other. I couldn't help myself any longer, and pressed my lips against his. He kissed me back with his warm firebender lips. This was actually their third kiss, but every time it felt like the first for me. We pulled apart, and smiled. I have been seeing that smile the more we've been together.

"Did you notice Bolin didn't even have Pabu with him?" Mako asked.

I laughed. Everything about Mako made me happy. I wish we could stay in that moment forever.💙❤💙❤💙
