Stacy grabbed everything from climbing gear to a radio and even a case with makeup for when she took her victory pic as she did every time she dominated a mountain. Stacy was so excited, she had been wanting to climb these mountains ever since she started climbing and now she was ready. She grabbed all her gear and walked to the front door. She laced her black climbing shoes and headed out to the car.
She started driving up the street towards her neighbors house and stopped. She got out to remind her neighbor to come every day and check in on the house. Her neighbor Nancy wished her good luck and then bid her farewell. Stacy drove up the street some more, stopping at lights and stop signs. As she drove up the street a little bit more she began to look around the town thinking about how long it would be until she saw her home again.Soon enough Stacy pulled into the airport and grabbed all her bags out of the car. She walked up to an old rugged propellor plane. It was the only plane able to land in the mountain range, but Stacy didn't care how she got there, she just wanted to get there. She boarded the plane and pulled all of her bags up. The pilot came over and helped her pull up her bags. "Hello miss, I'm old Johnny Carter, nice to meet you," he said. "I'm Stacy, I'm the one who is gonna go climbing today." The man looked at her as if to say, you but you are so young and your a a... girl. Stacy knew what he was thinking, but just thanked him and sat down. As Stacy moved to the back of the plane she saw three other people who looked like something out of a movie. One man had a young boy with him and they were sitting with a small dog curled up in their laps. Then she saw an old women with a cage of 4 restless chickens. The last was an old man who seemed to be some sort of hiker. "Hi my name is Stacy," she said to the man. "My name is Hue, I've been hiking parts of the fog mountains for about ten years now." "Hiking?," Stacy said. " I thought these mountains were for climbers."
"Oh, they are, but these mountains have lots of different terrain and many different types of wild life. Some parts of the mountains are almost flat and other parts are... well you'll see."
Stacy talked to the man for the rest of the flight about his adventures. Both of them shared stories until the plane landed. When the plane finally touched down Stacy, Hue and the woman with the chickens all got off the plane. The boy and the man were getting off at a town about 150 miles east of the mountains. Stacy walked with Hue to the base of the mountain and then set up her gear. Hue said goodbye and left to find a hiking trail. As Stacy began to climb she started to worry because she couldn't even see her grapples. She got higher and higher up the steep cliff until she came to a small cave about 360 feet up the mountain. She stopped to take a drink and get some food, when the cave began to shake. Small pebbles rolled off the edge of the cliff and out of the cave. Rocks from above wisped past her face as she jolted back deeper and deeper into the cave. As the rumbling calmed down Stacy stopped moving back into the cave and just waited. Soon enough Stacy began moving towards the entrance of the cave. When Stacy got to the edge of the cliff she looked down and saw the debris sprawled all over the base of the cliff. When Stacy looked closer she saw that her grapple clamp had been broken out of the cliff by some rocks. Stacy knew she wouldn't be able to fix it, but if she didn't she would be trapped in the cavern. Stacy had to try so she put another clamp on the edge of the cave and struggled down the side of the cliff. When Stacy got to the broken clamp she reached down as far as she could. Stacy tried and tried until she grabbed it. She pulled herself down towards the clamp and lunged down letting go of her rope. As she hung on the old clamp she started to fix it. After about 3 mins of hanging trying to tighten the clamp it began to come loose. As the clamp unhitched from the rock it got caught on Stacy's back pack and began to pull her down. The clamp at the edge of the cave was now starting to become loose because of the strain on the rope. Stacy struggled to keep hold of the heavy back pack but if she didn't let go she would fall. Stacy knew what she had to do, she reached with her other hand, trying to grab her radio. The clip connected to her belt was the only thing holding her up now, but as she reached, she grabbed the radio, trying to contact someone Stacy pressed the button to talk and yelled saying, "help me please!!!" She let go of the backpack, the radio going with it, everything she needed fell, all her food and water was gone. Stacy climbed back up to the deep cavern and walked to the back. She curled up on the ground, whispering quietly too herself as a single tear rolled down her cheek. "Somebody...help me."
