Chapter 4

Kaylee's Pov

At the police station I was sat in the interview room now, it was just a casual room as it was a sensitive topic and they need to record me. I had to go alone but Aaron and Chas said they won't go anywhere, they would wait.

I was sat facing a glass window which you can't see through, it's probably like what schools or places have. What's it called, one way glass. Anyway things were getting set up and I was getting scared. The interviewing policeman soon sat down opposit me and I knew it was starting.

"Okay Miss Livesy could you state your full name and date of birth" DC Tom said to its me so I take a dee shakey breath "My names Kaylee Emily Rose Livesy and my date of birth is 13th February 2002" I say out loud.

DC Tom soon told me that he wants me to explain in my own words what has happened "it a started when I was 7, 3 months before my mum sent me to live with my dad. It was my 7th birthday and dad came round but I was soon sent to my room, mum and dad were arguing, I could here them from my room. Then I heard the front door slam I presumed it was dad leaving but it happened to be mum, dad came up the stairs angrily and he shouted things, saying it was my fault"'I start nurvesly

"He wouldn't leave and I remember being really scared, i didn't know what he was going to do and then he.."I start before I break down crying "it's alright Take your time" DC Tom tells me so I take a couple of deep breaths before going to start again.

"That was the first time my dad raped me" I sob as my breathing is suddenly staggered due to sobbing so much. "That wasn't the only time it happened, it's happened a lot over the years, every time it's him shouting and then he does it, after shouting be rapes me"

After a while i had finished explaining and I was now sobbing uncontrollably DC Tom finishes the recording and try's "would you like me to go and get your brother?" Tom asks me and I shake my head "I'll go out to him" I say through sobs and I leave the room.

I walk out to the waiting area and Aaron and Chas both saw me crying and came over to me "he won't hurt you now" Aaron says holding me close "I've got to go back their tho, it's my home" I mumble you trying to stop myself from crying.

"You can stay with us for as long as you want" Chas says to me and I look up at her as to say are you sure. "Ready to now" Aaron asks me and I nod slowly while wiping my eyes just before more tears wet my cheeks.

"Kaylee before you go we need to know if you have anywhere to stay, we think it's best if you don't go back home, we will be informing social services but in the mean time is their anywhere?" DC Tom asks me and I look up to Aaron and Chas

"She's going to be staying with us, we will just need to get her things" Chas tells Tom and he nods "when we've spoken to social services then we will be in touch about Kaylee's future" ton told us and then we went. Aaron held me into his side all the way to his car before letting me get in the back and getting in the drivers seat. We soon arrived back at the woolpack and we were going to get my things from dads and Cain who's chas's brother said he would come so me and Aaron don't get into trouble.

"Aaron I'm scared, what if he won't let me go" I cry to my brother and he kisses my forehead before saying "we won't let him hurt you" I relaxed a little as we got back into a car but this time it was Cains.

Aaron gets in the back seat with me and then we were off. We drove down the road until we pulled up at the house and the police were there. "Their probably telling him another witness has came forward" Aaron says to me making me nod slowly.

We get out the car and go over to the door, Aaron didn't let me out off his sight the whole time. I open the front door and dad turns to me looking angry "You!" He shouts and I look at him shaking my head while rolling my eyes "me what!" I say trying to sound confident.

The police are looking at us incase they needed to intervene and Aaron was standing behind me "just tell me one thing, did YOU tell mum never to contact me and to leave me with you or was it her choice" I ask needing to know the answer

"Alright yes,  I told your mum that you would be better off with me" dad says to me and I clench my fist "she was going off to Spain and she was going to the air you with her" dad says and I try to control my breathing

"So your telling me that my mum was in Spain and she still light be" I shout lashing out "you said she didn't want me, that she couldn't cope with my attitude" I screamed with tears rolling down my cheeks "I wish she did take me with her, it would have saved me from the hell you put me through!" I scream before punching dad in the jaw before going to punch him again only to be held back by a pair of strong big arms who's happened to be Aaron's "Kay, calm down, everything will be alright" Aaron says softly to me

Dad looks at me round to the police officers behind him "I'd like to report a assault" he says to them folding his arms and looking to me. I get out off Aaron's grip before running to my room soon to be followed by Chas

Chas helps me pack my things and then she took them downstairs "we're giving you a warning this time" the police say as I get to the bottom of the stairs and I nod before walking out off the house and going to wait by Cains car.
