Chapter 2 • The man with a cigarette

It's almost midnight, Joshua just sent you home after blasting on some movies. You are checking out your phone if Dino sent you a message, or even a missed call. No unread messages. No missed calls. You decided to sent him a message.

While getting ready to sleep, you wait for him to reply.

But he doesn't.

The next day, Dino attend to school. He doesn't look happy, and he doesn't even budge to talk to you. You're too busy chatting with Joshua, your new best friend.

Do you really working at the Ritz-Carlton hotel as a chef?, you asked.

Joshua : Yea, I got paid $5000 per month for serving food for VIPs. But I usually get paid $2500 for part-time.

OMG Joshua, that's so cool!, you said.

Dino just sit there and doing nothing. He is looking at you both laughing together like a pair of lovebirds. He used to do homeworks while the teacher is away. But you didn't notice about that.

It's recess, he still doesn't budge to get something to eat. And he doesn't even say a single word to you all day.

You also notice he doesn't eat something all day in class, not even a single drop of water. Well, maybe he's on diet, you thought. You stepped out from the class and go the cafeteria with Joshua.

After recess, you get back to class. You notice Dino's bag isn't on his desk. Neither on his chair.

You ask for a permission from your teacher to go to the ladies' room. But your real intention is to find him in the school.

At the cafeteria, library, the school's backyard, the garden, you didn't find him anywhere!

Then, your woman intuition says maybe he's at the rooftop. Without second thought, you head straight to the rooftop.

You finally see him standing at the edge of the rooftop, with his bag he put beside him. You suddenly could feel the eerie sensation thinking about he might tripped and freefall from there.

Dino!, you screamed.

He turned around, facing you.

Dino : What are you doing here? You supposed to be in the class right now.
