Chapter 5 • The Diary and a Confession

You reached at Dino's house. You knocked the door. Dino loves any kind of cheesecakes and you bought him a cookie cheesecake.

Then his mother opened the door.

You : Is Chan here, Mrs. Lee?

Mrs. Lee : Yes he is in his room. Why don't you come in?

You : Thank you, Mrs. Lee.

You walked into his house. Then knocked his door. He opened the door.

You : Hi.

Dino : Oh Y/N. Come in.

You walked into his room and sits on his bed. He doesn't really look good. His eyes are puffy.

You : Here, I bought your favourite.

You give it to him.

Dino : Thanks.

You : So how are you?

Dino : I'm good.

You : Glad to hear that.

Dino : How's your relationship with Joshua?

You : Wha- No I don't have any relationship with him.

Dino : Don't lie to me, Y/N. I saw it.

You : Oh... I rejected him.

Dino : What?

You : Yeah, I literally, rejected him. He might have Taeyeon by now.

Dino : Oh... I'm going to take bath, if you don't mind.

You : Nah, go, take your shower, you stink.

You laughed, and he took his towel and  walks into his bathroom (The bathroom is in his room).

After wondering your eyes across the room. You sees something under his pillow. You pick it up.

You saw a small box of cigarettes, an unprescriptional bottle of medicine, a piece of plaster and a diary.

You opened up his diary. From two weeks ago.

Dear diary,

I'm looking at Y/N like everyday I did. She's so beautiful, without and within.

There's a new student named Joshua, and Y/N keeps looking it him. They keep chatting together and they have become friends.

I don't feel like I'm going to the cafeteria. My appetite have gone. And Y/N is going to the cafeteria with that new kid. She usually go to the cafeteria with me.

You slip into the next page. A day after.

Dear diary,

I'm not going to school today. I don't really sick but I just don't want to go to school today. It hurts watching Y/N with Joshua.

She come to my house. I could listen to her voice. There are worry lines in it. Her voice is like music that I could enjoy everyday.

Joshua texted her to watch movies. And I never ask her to go out even the she's my bestfriend. What kind of friend am I?

Dino never took you out only because there's no transport.

Dear diary,

I saw Y/N is chatting with Joshua about his monthly income. I'm sick of it. Then, after recess I decided to release my stress on the rooftop. Pretty much I skipped classes. And Y/N found me at the rooftop. How did she know I was there? Then I got a little pissed and I just went home. She must be confused why I'm behaving this way.

I saw Joshua picking up Y/N at her house. And I followed them with taxi. I followed them when they go into store by store. I witnessed Joshua buying Y/N handbag and other expensive stuff. They stopped by at McDonald's. Y/N was looking at me. But she just continue to enjoy the meal.

So he's the one who smokes that day, and the cigarettes.. you thought. Could it be.. you jumped into the page that dated yesterday.

Dear diary,

I heard Y/N's voice screaming my name. I saw Y/N is almost abused by four guys. I saved her. And I hear her voice in mix of fear and grateful feelings says "thank you". She saw my wound and she pat it with tissue and blow it at the same time.

I saved her even she's Joshua's sweetheart. I still love her. I witness her kissing with Joshua and of course it hurts. I can't. I love her so much it hurts. I'm too late. Too late to confess my feelings. It's okay, I'm pretty much happy if she's happy.

You cried. So he's the one who saved you.

Dino stepped out from the bathroom. He already have his pants on. Only his hair are still wet and he didn't wore any shirt yet. You jumped from his bed and hug him. You cried on his shoulder.

You : You save my life yesterday. Thank you so much.

He smiled and hug you back.

Dino : Your welcome.

You : Promise me you'll stop smoking and take drugs.

You said on this shoulder.

Dino : I promise.

You stayed like that for a moment. Then he break the hug. Then you saw the scar on his face.

Dino : Look Y/N, I don't have any gut to tell you that I-

You kiss him at his cheek.

You : You dork. I love you too.

Dino : C'mere.

You closed your eyes. He leans in gently pat his lips on yours. He runs his fingers through your hair and kiss you more passionately. You both smile and pull back.

You : Are you the one who cried in the men's toilet before?

Dino : Uh yea.

You both laughed.

Dino : You're mine.

You : You're mine too.

Dino : Oh it's on.

You : what's on?

He push you until you lay on his bed and he crawls on you. He kisses your neck demanding.

You : Ahahaha! Stop! It tickles!

Then you poke his upper waist. He suddenly collapse on you. You already know his weak spot.

You : Get off me. You're heavy.

Dino : I won't.

This whole time you thought Dino is just and innocent little dumpling. But he's more than that. He's way more than that. He's a guardian. He's your guardian.
