Hey guys!! Thanks for reading my story! I may be able to update about twice a week because I downloaded wattpad on my phone, so now I can write more whilst waiting for my ride to finish work. I could walk home... But you know... I'm lazy...
Enjoy the story!!
------------------------------------
When we got to school it was very weird, as I started to go to the Library, but was reminded by Liv that I had to go to the Atrium (The centre of the school) to meet up with her friends. She has briefed me last night on their names and family history, as well as how well we know each other, so I felt quite confident. I got to the Atrium within a few minutes and saw 6 girls and 2 boys there. I recognised them immediately from the photos Liv showed me, and I walked up to them with a 'heeeey guys...'
"Oh, hi Liv! How you doing?" Asked a girl I recognised as Ashley.
"I'm doing great! What about you?"
"Oh yeah, I'm good thanks."
She titled her head to the side slightly and looked like she was in deep thought.
"Really? I don't know... There's something a little different about you. Don't you think so girls?"
I felt all their gazes on me as they looked me up and down, looking for something that might be wrong.
The girl who I knew as Lola narrowed her eyes slightly as she examined the clothes I was wearing and the makeup I had put on, before saying:
"Yeah, there's defo something different about her today"
I started getting really nervous at this point, and I felt the urge to start biting my nails, but, as Liv had mentioned about a thousand times that morning, when unsure, ask myself WWLD? Or in other words, What Would Liv Do? And I know that Liv would definitely not start to bite her nails when she was nervous. She would say something. So, I decided I would.
"Nah, there's nothing different about me!" I said whilst flipping my hair over my shoulder.
And before they could respond in any way, I moved towards the table behind us and sat down, crossing my legs under the tight skirt. They looked at me a little weirdly, and then came and sat down next to me.
"So....." Ashley said, as if waiting for me to say something.
When I looked confused, she just sighed and said
"Go on then, tell us!"
"Ur... Tell you what?"
"Come on! Tell us about what happened last night when you saw Alec!"
At last, I realised who they were talking about.
"Oh! You mean Alec! As in, Alec, my boyfriend. That Alec!"
"Yes that Alec. Now spill! Did he kiss you again?" She let out a deep sigh and said "He's just so dreamy!"
I knew that Liv hadn't seen Alec last night, she had been with me since after school, so she must have texted him to say she wasn't coming.
"Oh, yeah, I couldn't make it, so I just texted him and said we'd meet up tomorrow."
The girls all looked really surprised at that, so I quickly added:
"Because, you know, the more you turn them down, the more they want you!"
Thankfully, adding that seemed to save me, as they all smiled and one even said:
"You go girl!"
I smiled and let out a breath I hadn't realised I'd been holding. I grabbed my flavoured water from my bag and took a sip, as I always do if I panic or if I just don't know what to say. Consequently, I tend to drink a lot of water each day.
I looked at my watch and saw that it was 8.45, so I got up and started walking slowly to my first lesson. Liv had French, and I was kinda scared of the teacher, Madame Hill, so I did not want to get there late.
"Sorry girls and guys, but I gotta go, I got French next and you know how Madame Hill can ramble on!!"
They smiled and walked off in the directions of their next lessons, all except for Ashley, who started talking about the French homework. Thankfully, Liv is a class behind in all her lessons, so I'd already had all her classes last week, and pretty much knew what I was doing.
After French, Liv had Geometry, and so I headed there and opened up my text book, but panicked when I didn't recognise the pages we were looking at.Lola was in this lesson with me, so I ripped the centre page out of my book (so it wouldn't be noticeable that a page was missing) and, in my best copy of Liv's handwritng, wrote:
Lola!
What were we doing last lesson? I have no idea what we are working on!!
I quickly re-read it and decided it needed something extra so that it sounded authentic.
I was sooooo busy thinking about my date with Alec that I didn't pay attention to the work.
Love ya, Liv. xx <3
I screwed it up into a ball and threw it to onto the desk next to me without anyone noticing. Annoyingly, that meant Lola didn't notice either. I slid right down in my seat until I was practically sitting on the floor, reached my leg out as far as it would go, and kicked her in the shin. She glared at me and but I just mouthed the word "Help!" at her, whilst pointing at the piece of paper next to her arm.
Her face changed into an expression of concern, and she slowly opened the note. When she saw what it said she looked at me and rolled her eyes. I smiled at her and glanced in the direction of the teacher, making sure he didn't see what we were doing. She quickly turned the note over and wrote something on the back, then screwed it back up and threw it at me. After opening it I understood what we were doing, and I got on with the rest of the lesson easily, whizzing through the work. I finished it long before everyone else, but knew that Liv would never ask for more work, she would just sit there doodling, and so I did just that. The rest of the day was OK, but it was lunch that I found hardest. An entire hour of pretending to be interested in something you couldn't care less about is super boring!! Plus, I had to spend 10mins of that time deciding what to order for lunch, when all I really wanted was pasta. Seriously, you have no idea...
I'm glad this swap will only be for a couple of days, I don't think I could stand it any longer. This is turning out a whole lot harder than I thought it would be...------------------------------
Hey guys! Do I have written 1,103 words on this chapter!! (Not including the bold writing at the start.) Hopefully I can continue to update frequently. Xx <3
Love you all... Xxxx
