Background: Calum is a Prince and the son of Queen Belle and King Adam. You are the daughter of Maleficent, the Mistress of Evil. Calum asks you out on a date, and you start to feel things that aren't according to plan.

A/N: THE DIALOGUE IS NOT MINE. I wrote this SOLEY based on the movie Descendants since I love that movie and I thought why not write something based off the date scene? Yes, things DO/WILL get specific only because that's how the movie itself GOES. Please do not complain about it. If it bothers you so much, then don't read it. That is really my only solution for that issue. Otherwise, enjoy :)

It wasn't meant to be this way.
The plan wasn't supposed to involve feelings.
"Bry!" You yelled as you stalked towards her where she was currently sitting at a lunch table with Ashton.
She and Ashton both turned to look at you as you stomped towards them.
"There you are! I have been looking for you literally everywhere!"
"What's wrong? She asked.
You slapped your hands down onto the table. "Calum just asked me out on a..." You glanced away then looked back at them. "A date," you breathed out as if the word was poison.
Ashton let out a snort to cover up his laugh while Bry bit her lip to stop herself from smiling.
"We can handle this," She told you then turned to Ashton. "Bye." She smiled at him.
She stood up and you followed her as she prattled off about your makeup, clothes, and hair.

"Okay, easy on the blush. I don't wanna scare him away," you let out a little laugh. "Not that I could."
"Please, my mom taught me how to apply blush before I could talk," Bry told you as she ran the brush along your cheekbones. "Always use upward strokes."
"My mom was never really big on makeup tips," you tell her as you watch her pick up some lipstick and use her finger to put some on yours. "And I never had a sister."
She smiled at you. "Well, now you do. We need as much family as we can get if we want to pull this off. My mother's not exactly a barrel of laughs when she doesn't get her way." She put away the lipstick.
"Are you afraid of her?" You ask.
She sighed. "Sometimes. Are you afraid of your mom?"
You looked at the ground with a thoughtful gaze. "I really just want her to be proud of me." You pause. "She gets so angry with me when I disappoint her...and yeah, she's my mom so I know that she loves me." You smile but then frown. "In her own way."
Bry took a hold of your hand. "Moving on. Come see," she pulled you up and brought you in front of the mirror.
You gawked at the girl staring back at you. "Whoa," you let out a light laugh.
Bry smiled as she came to stand beside you. "I know."
"I look..." You started off.
"Say it," she encouraged.
"Not hideous."
Bry shook her head. "Not even close."
You laughed and she walked away, leaving you to stare at yourself some more.
You tugged at the ends of your leather jacket as you stared at your appearance in disbelief.
There was a knock at the door.
You opened the door and sighed as you looked at Calum who was holding two helmets under his arms.
Calum took in your appearance with admiration. "For the first time, I understand the difference between pretty and beautiful."
You couldn't help but let out a snort.
He held one helmet out to you. "I hope you like bikes."
You clicked your tongue as you took the helmet and stepped out, but not before giving Bry a look then the two of you walked down the hallway.

You had to admit, you were impressed with his motorcycle and thoroughly enjoyed the ride to your destination.

"Tell me something about yourself that you have never told anyone," Calum said from behind you as you walked in front of him across the lengthy bridge in a careless manner, despite there being a hundred feet drop, causing the bridge to sway from side to side.
"Um..." You spin around and started walking backwards so that you were facing him. "My middle name is, Y/M/N."
He laughed. "Y/M/N?" He asked in an amused tone.
You let out a little laugh and turned back around. "Yeah. Just my mom doing what she does best, being really, really evil." You snort. "Y/F/N Y/M/N."
You two had made it halfway when Calum stopped walking and looked over the edge. "Mine's Thomas."
"Thomas?" You say back amused.
"Yeah," he laughed.
"How princely," you teased him and the two of you laughed then continued to make your way across the bridge. "That's almost worse."
"I mean, it's better than Y/M/N," he defended lightly.
You let out a sarcastic laugh. "Okay."
"But it's still not," he continued in a lower tone.
The two of you finished crossing the bridge and Calum had told you to close your eyes since he'd guide you to the place where your date was set up.
He had moved to stand in front of you so that he was walking sideways or backwards while holding onto your hands.
"Watch your foot," Calum's voice warned. "Down."
You followed his instructions, not wanting a sprained ankle as you let out a nervous laugh due to the uneven terrain.
"You good?" Calum asked.
You nodded, still with your eyes closed, and couldn't help the smile that had made its way onto your face at his concerned tone.
"Now, step up. There you go," he told you then stopped and let go of your hands.
You almost panicked, but felt his presence soon enough right behind you as he rubbed his hands up and down your arms.
You tilt your head towards him after a moment since he still hasn't spoken since the two of you stopped.
"You ready?" You heard him ask.
You nodded.
"Open."
You opened your eyes and took in the beautiful scenery.
There was a lake with such clear water as well as a little area that looked like it had been designed by someone from Greece where a picnic was set up. There were so many flowers, vines, trees, even a little rock hedge out on the water.
You looked back at Calum in awe - who was already looking at you - and gave him a smile.
He gestured forward. "Go."
You smiled at him and started walking towards the little spot.

"Mmm..." You hum as you licked your finger.
Calum was laying on his side, propped on his elbow, right in front of you. "Is this your first time?"
"Mmm," you hummed as you finished swallowing the food in your mouth. "We don't really date much on the island. It's more like...gang activity."
Calum laughed. "I meant, is this your first time eating a jelly donut?"
Your pulled your thumb out of your mouth with a pop. "Is it bad?"
He sat up and brushed off the crumbs on your lips. "It's just uh... You gotta uh..." He pulled his hand away. "Do this," he told you as he rubbed his lips together.
You licked your lips then rolled them together. "Gone."
The two of you share a laugh.
"You can't take me anywhere, I guess," you tell him.
"You know, I've done all the talking. Your turn. I really don't know that much about you." He leaned forward. "Tell me something."
You looked out at the trees as you let out a breath before looking back at him. "Well, I'm (age), I'm an only child, and I've only ever lived in one place."
He gave you a look of mock surprise. "Really? Me too! Then we have so much in common already."
"No," you laugh. "Trust me, we do not." You paused. "And now you're going to be king."
"Yeah..." He looked down.
You noticed his change in mood. "What?"
He looked up at you. "A crown doesn't make you a king."
You nod your head slightly. "Yeah, it kinda does."
The two of you laugh again.
"Your mother is Mistress of Evil and I've got the poster parents for goodness, but we're not automatically like that. We get to choose who we're gonna be," he paused, "and right now," he looked into your eyes, "I can look into your eyes and I can tell you're not evil. I can see it." He smiled then looked out at the lake. "Let's go for a swim."
You gave him a panicked look. "What? Uh...right now?"
Calum stood up and started unbuttoning his shirt. "Yeah, right now."
You let out a nervous laugh. "Uh, I think I'm just gonna stay here."
He stretched his hand out to you. "No, no, no. Come on."
You looked back down at the food. "Uh, I think I'm just gonna stay behind and try a strawberry." You picked up a strawberry. "I literally never tried a strawberry before." You took a bite. "Mmm..." You then looked at the strawberry in amazement. "Mmm..."
Calum laughed. "Don't eat all of them," he told you and walked away.
"Okay!" You finished the strawberry then ate a couple more. "Ugh..." You turn around and see Calum in his swimsuit out on the rock ledge. You wiped off your hands and stood up.
He waved at you.
You cupped your hands around your mouth. "Are those little crowns on your shorts?"
He patted down his trunks. "Maybe!" He smiled.
You waved.
Calum made a loud roaring sound before jumping off. "Woo!"
You laughed as you watched him hit the surface before slowly turning around and letting your smile drop.

You look back out at the water and sit on the edge of the platform. You noticed that the water had gone still and that Calum was no where in sight. "Cal?" You stood up abruptly. "Calum?" You frantically looked around as you started to panic. "Calum?" You heard your voice echo.
You jumped into the water and walked as far as you could go before you started to flail your arms.
Arms supported your weight and you saw Calum carrying you towards the platform. He dropped you onto it then shook out his wet hair.
You flinched away from the wet droplets. "Ugh." You shoved him. "You scared me!"
He pointed to the water. "You can't swim?"
"No!" You tell him in an obvious tone.
"You live on an island!" He pointed out.
"Yeah, with a barrier around it, remember?" You angrily sighed.
"And you still tried to save me."
"Yeah, and do you thank me? No. All I get is soaking wet," you gestured to your wet clothes and huffed.
"And uh, this fancy rock." He held up a shiny white rock. "It's yours." He gave you the rock. "Make a wish and throw it back in the lake."
You give him a look of disbelief and throw it back in the lake. "Ugh." You get up and started walking back towards your picnic blanket while shivering.
Calum quickly grabbed his jacket and placed it around you shoulders.
You both took a seat back on the blanket.
It was silent for a moment before you felt Calum run his fingers through your hair and turned to look at him.
"Y/N. I told you that I loved you. What about you? Do you love me?" He asked softly.
You didn't answer him and turned to look away. "I don't know what love feels like."
He took a hold of your chin and gently turned your face back to face his. "Maybe I can teach you."
