Rain pelted the hooded women as she approached the tavern, the cold rain had soaked through her cloak making her frozen to the bone.

Shivering she trudged towards the bark as burst of laughter rang from the building.

She had traveled a long distance and longed for the warmth of a fire and the taste of anything but stale bannock.

Suddenly the tavern went silent, confused cocked her ears for any noise.

Nothing.

"That's weird" she thought to herself.
As she approached the door someone barged out and hurled out off to the side of the entrance.

Wrinkling her nose in the disgust the stepped by the man and pushed open the door.

The room was full of quiet whispering, all the men in the room had their eyes on a single person at the bar.

She examiner the man covered In tattered clothing, blood oozing out of wounds on his back,

a black mass on the counter of the bar caught her attention, she cautiously approached the bar realized what lay next to the man on the counter.

Covering her mouth, she stepped back
"What the hell?" She spoke through her hands.

The man at the bar chuckled, "bounty on the head of a banshee" turning around he looked at her

She inhaled sharply.

The mans eyes were ice blue and chiseled features made him extremely attractive.

Shaking off the daze she lowered her hand and spoke cautiously " why is it On the counter then?"

The man smiled michceviously "good ol' john wanted to know if I got the job done, so I showed him the end product" frowning slightly "but seems like lil'johnny could stomach the sight of a decapitated head"

She wrinkled her nose in disgust
"I'm eating here, so please do take the fuckin head of the counter"

He raised one eyebrow and gave a small grin

"Feisty huh?" He chuckled slightly to himself "good to see you have a little fire"

He stuck his hand out "names Loki, pleasure to meet'cha"

She eyed him suspiciously

He grinned again "don't trust me?" Reaching over with his other he grabbed the head off the counter and put it back In the kevlar sack.

She sighed "names Romina" she looked over at the counter " if I'm gunna eat, there best not be blood on the counter".

Loki grinned michceviously then snapped his fingers, the blood pooling together into a sphere and dropping itself off the counter "of corse not" gesturing to the seat besides him

Romina sighed, sat down and prepared herself for a long night
