"Stay calm" I told myself as I stepped out of my bathroom. School was five minutes away and I wanted to get there early so that I could get into my locker and have time to eat breakfast. I'd curled my hair and put on finger tip length, jean shorts and a see through crop-top with my maroon bra and jacket. Then I put on my maroon flats. I grabbed my backpack and purse with my phone, ran out the door, hopped on my bike, and sped down the road to school. It was seven-fifteen and school started at eight, right on time.
When I got there, I ate with about thirty other people in the cafeteria, and then headed to my locker. It took me thirteen minutes to get the combo right and when I was done, I had three minutes until the bell rang so I walked around and the cafeteria had alot more people than there had been earlier. I looked around and then went to first period, Spanish. I sat down and the teacher walked in. "Hola, como estas" she said. "Muy bien, y tu?" I replied. "Muy bien. You seem to know spanish. ", "I did live in Texas my whole life." I replied. She told me where my seat was and I sat down. The first person that came in was a girl and she sat right next to me. "Hola profe" she said, then turned to me and said, "Hi, I'm Autumn." "I'm Harley" I replied. "I'm kinda new, would you mind showing me around?" "No, I'd be honored actually" and we started laughing and I knew I liked her. Then she got sad and I asked her what happened. She told me I reminded her of her old friend Tiana who'd moved to a rival middle school. As we talked, other kids started showing up and I got quiet. When a group of boys walked in. "That's Carter, Rich, Max, and Jalen" said Autumn, noticing my stare. Although we weren't aware we'd know them alot better than anyone else ever did or even would.
