Sky's POV

I start picking at my nails as I wait patiently for Mr. Walker to come and... hopefully... hear me out

as if on cue, I feel my phone buzz as Mr. Walker bursts out of his office red faced

oh joy now he really isn't going to hear me out...

" miss McCann, follow me." he says as his voice booms through the office,

"y-yes sir" i say trying my best to not let fear take over

well... here goes nothing  

right when my shaky, pale hand turns the knob to literal hell i slowly walk in and stop dead in my tracks

"J-Jai?!" i say as my mouth flies open and the smirking boy stands straight up

"okay shut up you two i have a meeting at noon so were gonna have to cut this short." he states while checking his ancient watch

"oh no! less time i get to spend with my favorite guy!" jai says with a pout as i send a death glare towards his direction,

"shut it Brooks. okay so im just going to have you two attend 1 month of after school detention, here are yalls passes towards class and i better not see yall in here again. have a won-"

"wait! you have to hear me out im innocent!" i exclaim while cutting him off

"do you want another month added?" he sternly says while rising from his seat and grabbing a pile of folders, frantically checking his watch

"n-no sir" i say slumping down in the extremely uncomfortable seat

"that's what i thought. now have a wonderful day" he says as his face wrinkles into the fakest smile ive seen and handing us both a late pass and the detention slip

i quickly grab my things and rush out of his office and into the hallway, its already bad enough i have detention for a whole month, but i also have to sit in a classroom.. alone.. with jai brooks.

might as well start digging my death hole.

right as the bell rings jai has returned to my side,

"what a dick face" he mumbles as he crumbles up the detention slip and throws it behind him

great maybe he'll skip detention and my suffering will be less painful

a smile starts to creep onto my face, earning a weird look from jai

"why are you so happy, we just got detention?" he says still not leaving my side

"you see, im going to actually attend so i wont get in any more trouble, and i already know for a fact that youll blow it off like you do with everything else" i gladly state

"oh babe" he says with his signature smirk, "who said i wasn't gonna show up?"
