"Okay, Logan. Are you positive, positive, everyone and everything is in the car?" you ask unsure, mentally checking your to do list.
"Yes, now let's gooo. Don't wanna be late!" Logan says grabbing your hand and pulling you through the front door. "Luna, sweetie, how'd you get out of the car?"
"I don't want to go anymore," she states, wrapping her blankie around her body.
It was both of your kids first day of school, and everyone seemed super excited. That is, except for your daughter Luna. She was excited all summer for school, but ever since you woke her up early, she refused to go. That crushed you deeply, once you arrived she refused to get out. Your heart sank to the bottom of your stomach. You didn't want to cry, but she needs to go. Logan noticed your sadness, and bent down on one knee.
"Now, Luna. Why don't you want to go anymore?" he asks her, looking into her chocolate brown eyes.
"Yeah sis, it's so fun! Trust me, I been there. We play games, and we do paints, and we play games," Nicholas, your son, says excitedly. He's been spending way to much time with Uncle Carlitos lately.
'No' was all your daughter had to say about that. You walk Nicholas into his classroom, hoping when you came back Luna would be ready to go in. You kiss him on the cheek as a group of boys huddle around him. You smile to yourself, just like daddy.
You arrive back at the scene, but no difference. Logan, no matter how hard things got, refused to give up. He never would get frustrated, he'd never yell, he'd just clench his fists, say nothing and start over.
"I am gonna miss you too much, that's why, daddy," Luna says, jumping into Logan's arms. He gives you a surprised look, but you just shrug. This is the same thing that happened with Nick, only Nick wanted you, not Logan.
"Oh baby, you know I love you. I love you so much." Logan picks her up, carrying her Barbie backpack on his shoulder. She giggles at the sight of her daddy wearing a Barbie bag, as do you. Logan is the best dad in the world to his two kids, and the surprise one that's on the way.
"How about daddy stays with you all day today so you don't have to be alone? Would you like that?"
Your daughter nods excitedly as Logan throws his imaginary hair over his shoulder and walks into the school like a boss. What an idiot. What a cute idiot. You drive home alone, but you don't have any problem with it what-so-ever. You were happy Logan finally got her to go, and you're sure everyone loves him there. After six hours of school, you see a familiar car pull up.
"Mommmy, I'm home!" Nicholas yells, running up to you and immediately wrapping his arms around your legs.
"Mommy, I'm home!" Luna shouts, following Nick and taking up your free leg.
"Honey, I'm home!" Logan says in an extremely deep voice. You laugh and hug him tight. You all discuss the day at school over dinner, everyone wanting to go first. It turns out Nick has a crush already, following in Logan's footsteps of course. Luna couldn't have been any happier than to have her dad with her all day. Then Logan tells his story, showing the class magic tricks, finger painting, and also reading a Dr. Seuss book to all of them. Nicholas and Luna end up falling asleep next to each other super early, probably exhausted from waking up early. You both carry them up to their beds quietly, and then scurry downstairs for some alone time.
"I'm so glad I never have to go through this again! The Barbie backpack was enough for me," Logan says, plopping down on your brown sofa.
"Yeah, Logan. About that.." you say as Logan sends you a terrified look.(See Mulitmedia)
"Oh no," Logan says, getting up.
"Oh yes," you smirk, letting your glasses slip down your face.
"Here we go again then. Baby numba three!" he replies laughing, pulling you close to him. He crashes his hot lips to yours, like somehow it's a thank you present.
