To hear somebody thinking Gray and Natsu a couple came as a heavy surprise... and it took Happy a long moment to absorb the idea. "Are you sure..?" he asked, in the middle of contemplation.
After a few minutes of frowning, he came up with his finally answer.
"No, Gray won't do. Him and Natsu fight too much! If they were to become a couple then they'd make a complete mess of everything. The only good that would come from it would be if they were to stop fighting... If they could stop fighting then maybe."
More thought, because the idea of Gray and Natsu not being at each other's throats each minute was so peculiar that it needed it's own consideration, whether it was as a couple or not. "Maybe Gray could teach Natsu how to calm down, and Natsu could teach Gray how to have more fun... But ONLY if they stop fighting... And if Gray gives me fish every time he comes over."
