Chapter 9:
After we entered the party, Annie, Cole, and Justin ditched me. I am pretty sure Annie found a guy to go make out with until either one of them gets bored, and most likely Cole and Justin found a girl to do the same with. I had nobody else to talk to; Annie is really my only friend. I am not the type of person to go out and make friends, but I am nice to them after I get to know them. Then again, not a lot of people talk to me because I am so quiet and get bullied, nobody want to hang out with an outcast- if I am even one. I am totally not a partier either; it's just not my thing. Having fun to me doesn't include getting drunk off your butt and doing crazy things I won't remember in the morning. I do like to dance though, as in being a professional dancer, not some crazy person with no clothes on.
One hour into the party, I haven't done anything, but have said hi to a few people and played on my phone. A couple of people offered me drinks, which I kindly denied. I am pretty sure I've gone part deaf, the music is so loud. If I were to make a conversation with someone I wouldn't be able to because of how loud it is.I see Annie out of the corner of my eye, stumbling from all the drinks she probably had, and start to walk over to her when someone steps in front of me. A tall, blonde hair, light eyed, very rude person to be specific.
"Eliana, so nice to see you again." I only know one person that calls me by my full name, and I seriously hate their guts. Even if someone just says their name I think I through up a bit in my mouth. Gross!
"Josh, nice to see you again too. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to find my friends." I try to step aside from him, but he moves over to stay infront of me. His shaggy blonde hair sways with him as he moves over.
"Friends? Oh, Eliana, you crack me up. You mean friend, as in one, who will ditch you after they see how worthless you are." Josh smirked at me, and his smirk grew bigger as he noticed that I am starting to get annoyed. I absolutely hate when people make fun of me, more specifically Josh. He gets on my nerves and I can't get away from him until he sees me aggravated. Plus, he uses my full name, which makes me upset even more. There is a reason why I go by Ellie."Thank you for telling me that, it will help me out in life a lot." I replied sarcastically. It is the only way I know how to defend myself. The only defending I can do. "Can you please move so I can find my friend."
"Nope, not at all. Hey, I saw you the other day at the movies. Weren't you with Justin Durango and Cole Simmons?" He laughs and I can smell the disgusting alcohol he has drank. Uh, gross. I don't even know why people drink in the first place. "What, are you their new toy for the week? Wow they must be really desperate, or you might be. Those guys are like legends, but that's pretty low for them to be screwing you." I think he knows I am bothered by what he's saying, so he continues. He more he talks the more it gets to me.
"I mean, I get a handful of girls that crawl on their hands and knees for me, but you are more desperate then all of them combined. I just feel so bad for Justin and Cole. They are stuck with a piece of shit like you and you won't leave them alone. What a shame." He wipes a fake tear from his eye, while real tears start to form in my eyes. I won't let them fall though, I will wait till I can get away and then become a total crybaby. "Do you think they actually like you, or possibly love you. Ha ha ha. That's a good one, I should use it more often, but you're already a fucked up disgrace of a child."
He starts to laugh at himself again, which gives me enough time to slip by and get away from before the tears fall.
"I don't even get a goodbye, Eliana? See you next time." Josh laughs as he walks away.
Whenever Josh says stuff like that; it pisses me off and makes me get all depressed. He bullies me way worse though, not physically, but he says the most hurtful things. He hasn't pushed me over the edge just yet, shockingly, which is good because I could possibly start cutting myself or something, but, I vow to never to harm myself in my life.
I start walking towards Annie, who is talking to some random guy, as she gets another drink.
"Annie, I think you've had enough drinks for now." I spoke up, sliding the drink to some random person. No tears have fell yet, which are good, but all I need to do is forget about it. I'll forget for a little bit, then the next morning it will all flood back into my memory.
"But Ellie! It was only my second one." She pouted acting like a three year old. "You're such a party pooper. Hey, I have an idea! Let's go play truth or dare." Annie's mood drastically changes in a matter of seconds. She grabs my hand, without letting me protest, and pulls me towards the game.
"Alright guys, let's start the game!" A random guy calls out. Oh, why did I agree to come to this party first place? All it's doing is making me feel horrible.
There was about ten people playing the game. Annie, her friend Jack, Cole, Justin, their friends Brett, Mike, Dylan, two girls I don't know, and me. This is bound to get interesting.
"I'm going first!" Mike slurs. I can clearly see that he's pretty drunk. He points to a girl and dares her to- well let's just say some very interesting dancing with him. It looks like they both enjoy that, which I probably wouldn't have.
Next, it was the girl's turn to ask. She dared Cole to jump into the pool with only his boxers on. Of course, he did it and was shivering when he came back. A bunch of people were already in the pool, not in there bathing suits just their underwear. At least it was some clothing rather than no clothing. It was cold outside to; I started shivering myself and I didn't even go into the pool.Cole's turn was next so he decided to ask Annie who she go out with if she could date anyone. She answered with Taylor Lautner and she giggled when she said it. I totally agree with her, he is one good-looking guy if you ask me. I also couldn't help but noticed Jack seemed a bit disturbed when she answered.
"Hmm," Annie tapped her finger to her chin as she thought. "Ellie, truth or dare?"
I remembered back from freshman year to never to say truth to Annie. She asked one girl to spill her deepest, darkest secret and that girl's life was ruined. Nobody talked to her for months, until she moved away. That poor girl...
I signed and answered back, "Dare."
"Okay. I dare you to kiss Justin." She started to giggle again not even knowing what she said.
What? I just started at Annie, very confused. She knew I didn't like him and that I was staying at his house. Annie raised her eyebrows at me and motioned for me to go kiss Justin. I guess she does know what she's doing.
I went over to him and he was smirking at me. I wanted to just get this kiss done and over with. I've never actually kissed a guy before, but I've seen movies and read books.
I stood right in front of Justin and he leaned in and pressed his lips to mine. He tasted like beer and strawberries, which was weird. I wrapped my arms around is neck and he snakes his arms around my waist and pulled me towards him. His soft lips molded against mine and butterflies erupted in my stomach. I forgot everything and just focused on the kiss. After we broke apart, I looked into Justin's bright green eyes that pierced back into mine. I was still trying to process what happened, but my mind quickly snapped back into reality and I went back to my spot. My mind was running with thoughts and I couldn't focus. I knew I had to dare Annie back, but I couldn't bring myself to it I was so lost from the kiss.
It was amazing that was for sure. But I liked the kiss, and that wasn't good. I mean, I kissed Justin Durango. Would he remember it tomorrow? Does he feel this way too? Tomorrow is going to be very awkward if he remembers.
A few seconds later which felt like minutes, I focused back and stopped thinking about the kiss to ask Annie her truth or dare. "Annie, truth or dare?" Annie knows I pick very bad dare such as eating a spoonful of ketchup, but this time she in for a shock. My truths aren't that good either, but she definitely likes a challenge.
"Dare."
"I dare you to kiss Jack." Annie's face went from smiley to shocked. It was priceless! That's what happens when she makes me give up my first kiss. I felt kind of bad though because I know her friendship with Jack is all over the place, but so is mine and Justin's. If we even have one. I didn't have enough time to look at Jack's face because she was already kissing him. Jack seemed to be fine with the kiss, but Annie had sobered up and was over analyzing everything. After a second or two, she was back to drunk Annie and started giggling all over again.
The rest of the night went by a blur. We didn't stay there for that much longer, but we were there for a while. I got back to the Durango's house really late and was so tired I could barely walk. I changed into my pajamas and crawled right into bed, not bothering to wipe off my makeup, and fell into a deep sleep.AUTHORS NOTE: So, what do you guys think of this chapter. I've had it written for a while, but I kept going back and making it longer. Since school has started, it has been INSANE for me. By the time I get home from school I have to do my homework, study, eat dinner, and spend family time with my family. Yes, my family is really weird. My dad thinks he can twerks... Awkward!
Anyways you guys met (kind of) JOSH! What do you think of him? He's a totally meany head if you ask me haha. Alex Pettyfer as Josh to the right. And Justin and Ellie's kiss... Oooooo and Annie and Jack!
