The foot tapping was getting to him, I could see the killer look in his eyes but I couldn't stop. It was the only thing that was keeping me from going insane, "One more time Svan I dare you to do it one more time." he raised the big scissors that he was using as a means to scare me.
I sighed, "I'm sorry man," I said getting up from the coach. I started pacing around. It was worrying me, her absence was worrying me. Why hadn't she come in to work today? Was she so angry about yesterday that she stayed away today to avoid seeing me? Was what I did that bad?
The questions went back and forth in my head circling my 'tiny ass hat of a brain' as she has said the night before. I heard a load metal bang "okay so what the fuck is wrong with you" Carl said with an exasperated sigh. I gave him a questioning look. "first the foot tapping and then the pacing. Next thing you will take a pen and start tapping on the desk" He got up and pushed me to sit down. " Talk " he said well more like ordered. I sighed "It's Stephy"
I shifted from the seat to go sit at the table amongst the sawing machines. "And what did Stephy do" he dragged.
I wasn't sure if I should tell him because I knew he was just going to tell me how stupid I was and I already knew that.
"or should I rather ask what did you do" he asked catching on to me. I sighed, he was going to find out anyway. "I tried to kiss her yesterday" I said burying my face in my hands and awaiting the usual big brother talk but instead I got a smack on the back of my head.
"What the hell did you do that for!" I asked rubbing my head. He sure had tough hands, which he had inherited from our father unlike me who inherited my mother's hands. "I tried knocking some sense into you" I gave him a look, he has been using that same line for as long as I can remember. "Anyway, so last night after we landed it started raining and stuff, I got caught up in the moment she was all sad and stuff, so I pulled her and we danced in the rain then I tried to kiss her and she slapped me instead and then walked away. After calling me an ass hat" I finished off softly.
"Your ass is dumber than I thought." Carl went on.
"I know but, but all the signs were there, she didn't protest she even looked like she wanted me to kiss her. I just don't know what went wrong in the last minute." Carl pulled me to sit down again and then sat down with me.
"Okay, well maybe she freaked out or something, you know Stepy is a bit complicated, and from what I've heard she has been through so much and maybe, maybe you going too fast for her and she just isn't ready for all of that stuff yet..."
"From the way things are going I don't see Estephy ever being ready" Tasha said coming into the room, "Were you eavesdropping on us Tasha" Carl smirked at her. "No you two left the door open and besides your manly voices can be heard all the way upstairs. Now, back to the situation at hand, Stephy needs a little push she has been hiding inside for three years too long and I'm not saying that your ass hat of a face deserves my sister but what I'm saying is that maybe, maybe you could be the one to break her out of that shell she has locked herself into for the past three years."
"What happened to her back then? ." I asked but Tasha looked away from me and for a second I could see pain in her eyes, "Somethings are better of not said okay. Now I'm here to try and help you get her but if you dare hurt my sister, dear Lord" she slowly walked to me, "I will kick your little ass in so far and hard that it will connect to your inner core." She threatened me her face holding more threat than her words. I nodded and for a second I wondered what the hell had I gotten my self into.
"Good" she slid back to the couch her hair bouncing from her movement. Carlos looked impress and smiled at me, he liked her. "okay so then what's the plan?" I asked her she mischievously smiled at me and I knew I wouldn't like it.
