"Yo Lex, you ready to go now?" Jace yelled at me from downstairs."Yeah I'm coming," I shout back.
Glancing at the mirror one last time, I shut the door behind me and walk down. I was quite impressed by my choice of outfit. It was a navy and white striped dress that was long sleeved and came a couple of inches above my knees. Fitted but not skin tight.
Noah was the first one to notice me and much to my dismay he looked away just as quickly as he looked at me. The next to see me was a very surprised Jace. And last to see me was my dumbfounded best friend.
"Lexi, Lexi, look at you Miss Lexi," Kyle said coming up to me and embracing me in a warm hug. Our hug was interrupted by Jace clearing his throat.
"You look really good Lexi but please don't tell me you have make up on," Jace pleas.
"No Jace," I laugh at him.
"Right then lets go guys!" Noah shouts. I huff at his reaction towards me. Even if he didn't think I looked good he could have at least acknowledged me.
"Okay, I call shotgun!" Kyle yells running to the passenger seat. I chuckle at my crazy friend and follow after him but Jace grabs a hold of me.
"Sis," He says sternly.
"Yes," I say confused.
"I want you on your best behaviour, okay?" He commands.
"Urm why? It's not like I have to drive anyone home this time," I say reminding him.
"Yeah but we all know what happened last time you got drunk," He says, which pisses me off.
"Fine. I won't get drunk!" I snap before leaving to get into the car.
On the way to the party, I couldn't help but think about the last time I did get completely wasted.
That was not a good night for most but for me it was perfect - from what I can remember anyway. The last time I got drunk was actually the first time I got drunk. Embarrassing for a 17 year old to say, I know, plus I was only 15 at the time. Don't get me wrong though, I have drunk alcohol just not enough to get me feeling all kinda weird stuff.
"Yo, Lexi!" Kyle shouted at me, pulling me out of my trance.
"What Kyle?!" I snapped back at him.
"Sorry," he said like a sad puppy, "I just wanted to let you know we're here now,"
Guilt filled me and all I could do was smile at him apologetically.
"Everyone ready?" Jace said
"Yeah now let's go to the party of the millennium!" Noah whooped.
I sniggered but tried to cover it up with a cough after a deadly glare was sent my way by the devil himself.
"What's so funny smart arse?" Noah asked.
"It's year," I smirked.
"Huh?" Noah baffles.
"The phrase is "party of the year" not millennium dumb arse," I snicker at him.
A red blush covered his face, "Yeah I know that... I was just being... original,"
"Yeah right," Kyle sniggered, deserving a smack on his head. I laughed then got out the car.
"Where you going?" Jace yelled after me.
"Urm inside..." I said in a typical annoying teen 'duh' tone.
"Give me your phone," My brother demanded.
