After dropping the puppy off back home, Laiah and I went out to this pizza place, that also has a buffet. All I know is, I ate a lot of chocolate pizza.

We were now back at my house, laying on my comfortable bed, listening to my Spotify playlist. Currently, "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers was playing.

I just can't look its killing me
And taking control

Jealousy, turning saints into the sea
Swimming through sick lullabies
Choking on your alibis
But it's just the price I pay
Destiny is calling me
Open up my eager eyes
Cause I'm Mr Brightside

"So, are you ready to try calling again?" Lai really wanted me to get back in contact with Michael. I want to talk to him also, but he won't talk to me if he knows who I am.

"You know what, if you wanna call, fine. Let's put it on speaker."

So, she did just that. Calling the memorized number, there was no long dial tone, just an intercept message telling us that the number had been disconnected.

"Ughhh, are you fucking kidding me!" She yelled angrily.

"Laiah, it's nothing to get upset about. He clearly doesn't want anything to do with me, so let's just leave him alone."

Laiah made a decision to spend the night, and I was totally fine with that, I didn't want to be alone. Not sure if this is just me, but I tend to get lonely very easily. I guess I just don't like spending hours alone, knowing I could be laughing and getting lots of hugs.

"Maybe we should invite David over, we could have like a little sleepover!" Lai suggested

"I'd love that, but my parents more than likely don't want anyone else here."

"Ah, you're right...Well, let's go back to my house. I live on my own!"

"Alrighty then, Ms. Independent."

I grabbed some pajamas, spare clothes for the morning, basic tools for hygiene, my charger, and my laptop placing them in my overnight bag.

"Let me tell my parents where I'm going, and then I'll be ready."

I opened the door, walking out of my room, and knocked on the door to my mom and dad's room.

"Come in!" I heard my Dad say, loud enough for me to hear.

"Hey, Laiah and I have decided to have a sleepover for my birtday, so I wanted to know if that was okay."

"Sure, you're eighteen, so have fun...Well, not that kind of fun, then I'd have to kill someone." My mom chimed in.

"Ew! I don't wanna do that right now anyways. Have a nice night, strangers!"

"Call me when y'all get there."

"I will, mommy."

I closed the door, and made my way back up front where I was earlier. The puppy had been fed, and was sleeping in the little bed I got her at the pet store.

I got my phone from the table, holding it in my hand, and we made our way out of the door, making sure I locked it.

"Alright, let's go make this birthday better than your sixteenth, cause you were depressed as fuck."

"No kidding."

We'd made it to Laiah house safely, and I'd put my bag up in her room. After calling my mom, I called our friends David and Heather over for a birthday sleepover, which they gladly aggreed too. David and I both had close birthdays, his was two days before mine, but we still celebrated it together.
