There is a giant cat grinning at me. He's twice as big as I am and he is staring at me. "W-w-what? You...I'm...Huh?" I don't even know what to say, I must be completely mad.
"Well your Alice correct?" Alice? ALICE! Did this cat just call me Alice? "My name's Elizabeth! I'm not Alice! I'M NOT ALICE!" I stumble back, falling to the ground in the process. It has to be a hallucination, a dream, a fantasy. Alice, Alice, Alice! Why does that name follow me no matter what happens? Whether sleeping or awake!
"Oh but you are Alice, you just don't remember it" The cat grinned at me maliciously and grabbed me. I'm no bigger than a mouse so he easily held me by the scruff of my neck causing blood to run down my back "Let me go! I'm not the right girl! I'M NOT ALICE!" I scream desperately but to no avail. The cat won't drop me.
He begins to slowly pad through the...I don't know what to call this place, a forest? A wood? A garden...there are plants everywhere, ridiculously large plants, roses bigger than trees and forests worth of lavenders. It would be beautiful if I weren't so terrified.
"Who's she?" Who said that? Who's talking? It wasn't the cat because I would be dropped to the floor so who was it. I open my mouth to say my name but before I can speak I am grabbed by the cat roughly, getting the wind knocked out of me, and my mouth was covered "It's Alice. She's come home. She just doesn't know it yet" The cat seems to be talking to a flower, one of the large daisies surrounding us.
"Just send her to the hare and the Hatter. They'll sort her out" The daisies are talking! I'm surrounded by talking plants! This can't be happening.
The cat began to walk again after nodding in agreement, holding me in his mind once more. He's created another deep cut in my neck, making more blood drip down my back and staining my hospital cotton.
"Who's the hare and the Hatter?" I'm half curious of the answer, half terrified. Will they hurt me or help me? I'm hoping the latter but thinking about what I've seen I'm guessing it will be more like the former.
Just as I thin that he won't answer me I hear a muffled voice, rumbling behind me and blowing my hair around my head. The breath stinks and it's all I can do to not throw up. His voice is deep and menacing
"The hare and the Hatter...they're gonna fix you Alice. No matter how much it hurts. They'll fix you"
