History went quickly, but the other three went quicker, and before I knew it, it was lunch. I went to my locker to put some books in, get my kit for P.E and wait for Thomas.
"Are you still gonna to it man?" I heard from the other side of my locker door.
"Reg, we've talked about sneaking up on me and yes, I am!" I snapped, slamming my locker door shut.
"Okay man, good luck!" He said, while walking off grinning.
Thomas walked up to me.
"Hey, what was that about?" He asked.
Thomas and Reg are my only two true friends, it's such a shame they hate each other. We all used to be friends when we were 11 until we were about 13, then something happened and they won't tell me. Whatever it was, it must have been bad for them to hate each other as much as they do.
"Just wishing me luck." I said while walking into the canteen.
"Right, well okay, so should I save you a seat today, as you won't be sitting with them?" He asked.
"Actually, I was wondering if you could stay with me?" I said.
"Why?" He asked.
"Sassy backup." I said, I knew he'd have to stay then.
"Alright." He replied.
We walked over to the table for the popular people, the table were I sat but didn't belong. Jaime smiled at me and got up and hugged me.
"Erm, Jai, can we talk?" I asked.
"Yeah, alright" She said without moving.
"In privet." I said.
"No, anything you want to say to me you can say to the group." She said.
"Fine, I know we've been going out for ten years and I just-"
"What are you doing? Don't be an idiot." She said.
"We're just too different!" I said.
"How?" She asked, and I could see the tears glazing her eyes.
"Well, you like sports and I don't, I'm the smartest kid in our class, you're really mean, we don't have the same interests." I said.
"I- Are you saying I'm stupid?" She asked.
"No, not at all, you just cover your smartness up, but I think i'd rather watch paint dry than have a conversation with you! You're boring!" I said without thinking.
"She's boring? Bitch you're boring with your algebra and your Shakespeare and your comics and what have you!" Said one of her friends.
"Right, first of all, I'm sure he didn't mean that she was boring, second of all I have no idea who the hell you are, but you seem to know him better than she does." Thomas snapped sassily.
"Alright." Jaime said, sniffing and wiping her eyes clean.
"I get it, but I will get you back." She whispered.
She then picked up her back and walked away.
"Leave him alone." She said to one of her friends, not that they listened.
As if in unison, all 12 of the girls at her table, stood up and walked passed me, slapping me around the face on both sides. Except the last one, the last one was the girl that stuck up for Jaime. She kicked me in the balls, making me fall to the floor she then ragged my hair.
"Idiot!" She whispered in my ear.
"Tell her I'm sorry, and I'll be the exact same person to her as before, obviously without the boyfriend part." I said.
"Arsehole!" She shouted, kicking me in the stomach and face, multiple times.
Reg, who had seen what happened, ran over to help me up.
"Jeez man, could've handled that better. C'mon, lets get you back to the room." He said, helping me walk.
"Thomas, can you help?" He said.
"Oh, yeah, yeah sure." He replied.
That was the first time they'd talked in 5 years, and it took the pain away a little.
Not for long though, I got ringing in my ears, and my vision started to blur. I remember hitting something hard and cold, before it all went black.
