"Babe, wake up." Hayes whispers in my ear. I've been awake all night, but Hayes doesn't know that. "Cam."

I turn to look at him and he smiles. "Hi." I force a smile. "What time is it?" I ask even though I know what time it is.

"Almost 3:20, but I have a surprise for you."

I nod and crawl out of the fort. I walk upstairs to my room, leaving Hayes behind. I try to be as quiet ask can so my parents won't wake up.

I take a quick shower and I do my makeup today because I look dead. I didn't get any sleep last night. Hayes walks into my room and I see him stare at me through the mirror.

"You're doing your makeup?" He asks.

"Yeah." I simply answer.

"Why? You don't normally wear makeup." I ignore him and finish my natural makeup look.

I finish and look back at him, grabbing my purse. "Ready."

"Come on." He smiles at me and I follow him out the door. I leave a quick note on the refrigerator so my mom won't get angry at me.

"Where are we going?" I ask, buckling my seat belt.

"It's a surprise." He smiles. How can he do that? Look at me and act as if I'm the only girl he thinks about.

I should say something, but I don't want to ruin today. Especially not now that I have him here with me. I can't- I won't because I love him too much to push him away.

I stayed up last night, watching Hayes text Klaryssa. He got a text from her last night and I pretended I was asleep while he texted her. I couldn't read the text messages, but was it really that important to be texting him that late at night. When he laughed, he did so quietly, trying not to wake me up.

"What time did you fall asleep last night?" I ask.

"Around 11:40, I think." Liar.

I nod and my heart races. "Aren't you supposed to buy your tux today with Max."

"Yeah, but we'll be back before that."

The car ride was quiet, mostly because I pretended to sleep half of the drive. All I could think of was Hayes and Klaryssa.

"We're here, baby." Hayes parks the car and I look around.

There are dozens are of deflated hot air balloons in the middle of no where. "We're getting on one?" I ask Hayes, getting out of the car.

"Yup." He smiles, locking the car.

I smile and look at him. Even if I wanted to, I could never hate him. He makes me happy.

"What's wrong?" Hayes asks, walking towards me. "You don't like it?"

I nod and push everything back. "I love it." I smile. "Thank you."

"Okay." Hayes says, pulling up at the side of the road. We're about five minutes away from home and I haven't said a word to him since the hot air balloon ride.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the amazing gesture, but he got a text from Klaryssa and he hid his phone from me. Why would he hide it?

"What's wrong with you? Why are you in a mood?" He asks.

"I'm not in a mood." I say defensively. "I'm just tired."

"Stop lying to me. I know that's not it."
