chapter 4

Alex's P.o.v

I head back to her pack home but when I was about ten minutes away I heard a movement to my left. I quickly jumped to it while growling. I landed on a big white wolf she yelped when I landed on her. I smirk right when I was about to finish her I realized this was the girl I've been looking for! I stop growling and jumped off of her. She jumps up and yelps from her paw. I wince a little when I hear her in pain.

Her eyes go wide when she sees me then suddenly she starts to growl she tries to get into attack position but her paw prevents her from doing so. She keeps her paw up and starts to snarl. I look at her then her paw and wince again.

"I'm sorry." I say. I put my head down from shame. I hear a licking sound and glance up to see her treating her paw. I stare for a second and she starts to growl, I put my head back down.

"Who are you?" She asks

I glance up and straighten my back so I can stand tall. "I'm Alex Grey Alpha of the grey moon pack, And who might you be?" I ask

She tries to straighten up but her paw prevents her from doing so fully."I'm Violet Smith daughter of James Smith the Alpha of the silver moon pack."

I stare at her Violet, her name is beautiful all I want to do right now is go by her but I hold off.

"I'm going to turn human ok?" She nods yes and limps behind a tree to do the same.

I run off behind a tree and change human and get dressed. I check myself in a nearby puddle and fix my hair when I come back I wait for her to get done.

When she finally comes out she steals my breath away. She was pretty tan but it suited her. She had a few freckles but not many. She was pretty lean. And her hair was as black as oil, it went down her mid back. But the most stunning feature was her eyes they were dark brown and I felt as if I could stare in them for my whole life. Suddenly she starts to blush and God that makes her even cuter.

I start to walk to her but she gets scared and takes a step back. I see her wince and now my only focus is to see is to make sure she's ok. I walk to her slowly and I can see she's scared when I was about two feet away the earth erupted around her and swallowed her into a ball. I stare at the ball and start to panic, right when I was about to transform a little hole opens up and I can see her eyes. I calm down a little but jump back when a burst of fire comes from the whole. "What the hell was that for!?"

"Leave me alone!" I hear her shout from the ball. I come near her again and say,"Are you ok?" She looks at me with curiosity.

"What do you want from me?" She asks, and I'm at a blank because I can't answer that. I just want to be near her... no wait I need to be near her.

"I don't know I just want to be close to you." I slide down the wall of rock. "Ever since I saw you last night I haven't been able to get you out of my head." I close my eyes and whisper,"Please, just let me in." After a few seconds the wall I'm leaning on crumbles and I'm in the dome with her. I stand up and the wall behind me closes up again.

It's pretty small in here with only about a foot between us. She stares at me and says,"Is it possible that we're mates?" My eyes widen, I haven't even thought of that. Of course we're mates, I'm so stupid. "There is a way to find out." I say sheepishly. Whenever you kiss someone you know wether or not your mates. She bites her lip and I swear to God that turned me on so much that it took all of my will power not to kiss her then and there.

She nods her head while blushing. I step towards her so there is no space left, and lean in slowly. My lips barely brush hers and it feels like the whole world is falling and she's the only thing that's keeping me up.

I hear her gasp and I know she's feeling the same thing. She deepens the kiss when she puts her arms around my neck and pull's me closer. Her hands run through my hair as I nibble on her bottom lip. Her eyes fly open and she pushes me off of her. I groan at the loss of her lips. She stares at me wide eyed then she says,"I'm sorry I have to go." She makes a whole and them runs out limping slightly. I stand there for a second and then run after her. "Wait!" I yell. Why does she have to leave, we need to talk!

Violets P.o.v

I run as fast as I can trying to get away. I'm so stupid I think. While we were kissing it felt as if I was complete but when he nibbled on my bottom lip it jumped me back to reality. He tried to kill my dad for Christ's sake! I look back to see him gaining ground, I'm just about to fly when suddenly my ankle gives out and I fall to the ground with a yelp.

"Violet!" I look up from where I was laying on the ground to see Alex running to me. He tries to pick up but I keep on pushing him away.

"Stop it." He growls. I look at my knee and see its all scraped up from where I fell. I look up at him and he looks pissed and worried. I whimper when he accidentally touches it.

When he tries to pick me up again, I let him.

"We're going to my pack." He says and I look up at him and shake my head no. I try to get out of his arms but his hold is to tight."God dammit Violet stop it." He yells as I struggle. I stop and whimper.

He sighs,"Why did you run away from me back there."

"Hm let me think, was it the part where you know you tried to kill my or when you attacked me that made me think maybe this isn't the best choice." I say, as I put a finger on my chin and pretend to think.

He stiffens as I say this. And I look at him as he tries to find the right words,"I didn't know you were my mate and I wanted what was best for the pack." I smirk at him.

"It's not like you would have won anyway." I say.

He glances down and grounds out through his gritted teeth,"Oh yeah it sure looked like we was gonna during that fight."

I glance at him and smile,"That's because I wasn't out there if I would have fought you wouldn't have stood a chance." I state proudly.

He scoffs,"What makes you say that." I twirl my fingers and cough, when he looks at me I point up and to show him a cloud above us along with a boulder and some fire balls. Then I point down to show him where water is slowly circling us. He stares at me wide eyed.

Lean close to his and whisper,"That's what makes me think that." I lean back and wink.

Suddenly I hear a snap both me and Alex look up to see two wolves. I don't recognize them but Alex does he nods his head and carries on. They bow their heads as we walk past them. I think of my escape and wait for the right moment. I snuggle my head into the crook of his arm and act as if I fell asleep. I feel his grip relax after a few minutes I start to prep myself for the change. "Hey Alex, who's that!" I hear someone shout I can feel Alex move as he faces the guy. I jump up and transform. I stare down at them. Alex starts to shout orders to capture me but not to hurt me. When he looks up at me I wink. I turn around and jump up into the sky flying back home.
