Jack sat, shaking slightly, in-front of the man in a grey suit. The physiologist.

"So, Jack. Why do you self-harm?"

"<sigh> It all started when my husband died. H-He was so smart about it!"

A few salty tears fell down Jack's face and onto his skinny jeans. He was wearing Mark's lucky flannel.

"Can you tell me about it?"

Jack nodded. He wanted to tell someone who could help.

"He sat next to me and smiled..."

-Flashback-

Mark smiled at Jack.

"Hey, babe!"

"Oh, hey Marky!" Jack replied, smiling back at his husband. He pecked his lips and turned back to watch 'Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince'. Mark kissed Jack's forehead. Suddenly, he sat straight up.

"I've got an idea to see how much you love me!"

"Really? What?" asked Jack, his full attention on Mark.

"If you can go 24 hours without me, no texting or calling or anything, I'll love you forever and we'll always be together. Do you think we can do that? It'd be like I died!"

"You know what? Yeah! I could stay the night at my parents, a few towns over, and come back tomorrow!"

Mark nodded and smiled, his red hair falling across his face. Jack stood up and was followed by Mark.

"If you go now, I'll see you at 4pm tomorrow. Okay?"

"Okay. I love you." smiled Jack. He kissed Mark's cheek and gave him a bear hug. He separated and left. Mark sat on the sofa.

"I love you." he whispered. Tears fell down his face and he ran a hand through his hair. Chunks of his flaming hair fell out. He didn't gasp. He didn't cry. He didn't react. He knew. He was dying of cancer. He had denied treatment so he could die quietly at his house. But he didn't want Jack knowing. Jack didn't even know he had cancer! Mark called the company that had agreed to put in a coffin after he had died. He lay in bed. 2 hours later he felt shortness of breath. He coughed and knew that Jack was never going to see him again. He was never going to see the man he loved again. He cried. Finally, with his last few breaths he wrote a note:

Jack, you made it! Now, just do the same thing for the rest of your life until you find someone new. I love you so much and I'm sorry for going like this but I couldn't let you see me die. Goodbye, my sweet, sweet angel. I love you so much I can't put it into words. Don't let me tie you down. Goodbye, Jack. My husband. My lover. My soulmate. I always loved you. I still love you. You made it. Remember that. I love you.

And with that final word, he died. He slumped back and died, his note on the bed. The people did their job. By now, Jack would be home in around 10 minutes. They put the coffin up and placed the note on top of the coffin. They left, crying as well. That note had moved them. In 5 minutes, Jack burst through the door and yelled;

"I MADE IT, MARKIMOO!" but there was no answer. He looked forward and saw Mark in the coffin. He knew he was dead. His tan skin was bleached white. His hair was perfectly placed. Jack broke down. He screamed. Then he stood up and read the note, seeing tear marks on the page made by Mark. He cried hard. Felix, Ken, Marzia and all the rest were on to it and turned up, half an hour later, to a weeping Jack by a dead Mark. The helped him up and attempted to comfort him but he was inconsolable.

-End of flashback-

"I'm sorry for your loss, sir." said the man in the grey suit. Jack looked up. He wanted to run but he knew Mark would want him to stop cutting.

Jack never got re-married or had another romantic partner. He carried on YouTube until he turned 57 and decided he was too old. He retired and lived alone until he adopted a young boy who was 14 who was called Mark. He died at the age of 94 from old age, holding a Tiny-Box-Tim plush. He was wearing Mark's lucky red flannel.

Jack's last words - 'Goodbye, my soulmate.'
